I assumed that the clutch cylinders would be covered under the basic 60,000miles/100,000km but my dealer says no. WTF??? I can see the disk not being covered but the cylinders too???? Is the dealer wrong by any chance??

First...I like your profile name. Second...Im going through bullshit now with my clutch and I only have 27,000 miles on my 13 Rubicon. If its a manual....no parts of the clutch are warranted for more that 12,000 miles or 12 months. I just changed my slave cylinder yesterday thinking it might help my problem....which it didn't....and it cost me about $100 for the part.

Change your release bearing too with a National brand one!!! I went through two mopar ones in 60k miles! They warrantied the first, refused the second one coz they said dust got in.... Total bullshit, I never go mudding, just forest service roads exploring. The tech even shhowed me where there are two small gaps at the bottom of the transmission bellhousing where dirt and moisture get in from, and they WILL! The only reason the National unit is better is because of the better seal, but crap will still eat away at it. Complete garbage!

Interesting. I had mine in to the dealer about the "dieseling" noise in the trans - usually 4th gear - 2-3k rpm. They admitted hearing it... after I had to take them for a ride, but kinda threw up their hands and said "I dunno".

I also mentioned a vibration that developed in the clutch pedal. Basically feels like putting your foot against a grinding wheel - or pressing on a piston with a dry seal - there's just something "there".

They told me if there was a problem with the clutch, since I was outside 1yr/12k, it would cost me.

Claimed to have a "case" open on the noise... it's been well over a yr. They said they needed to compare it to another manual but "they just don't see that many". Seriously?

That (1yr/12k) only applies to the clutch friction discs. Every other clutch related part is expressly covered under the basic, 3 year/30,000 mile warranty. Period. All manual clutch parts are expressly excluded from the 5yr/100k mile power-train warranty, but you've reported it now, so they are stuck. Keep your records!
