clutch ratcheting sound

When I press in on the clutch, I get a ratcheting (clicking) sound. The same thing happens as the clutch pedal is depressed. Is this a serious issue, or does something need to be "lubed"? It sounds like it's coming from just outside the firewall on the engine side.

TIA

dude mine started doing the same thing just the other day.. I assumed it was my clutch cable and that it was just tight no big deal... :/ To my knowledge there is nothing I can do to make it stop.

Yes, it is a hydraulic clutch. I can hear the area where the sound is coming from, but there is so much crap in the one area on the other side of the firewall, I can't see anything from above or below.

Mine does the same thing. No problems, just a clicking/creaking noise.

I had the same clicking and creaking with my clutch. The dealership will be installing a new clutch and clutch kit tomorrow courtesy of Uncle Chrysler. Thank you TSBs
