@Omix-Ada (Rugged Ridge) in Suwanee, GA.

Incredible. Simply incredible.
Thanks for the tour, Dave.

No kidding.
And Dave takes great pains to source original parts for the restorations.
And they all run. And they're all driven periodically.
There's dirt on the tires of the pre-war prototypes.

Very cool pics! Is that place open to the public?...
Sort of....

I'm local and have lots of mutual friends with workers there.
I'd call ahead and see if it's a good day; don't just show up and expect to get in.
But I think that they'd be happy to show off the collection to an enthusiast/customer that was passing through.

The Curator, Dave, is a living encyclopedia of Jeepdom. He is passionate to a degree that humbles me. Best ambassador of the brand that I've ever met.

They said, "if they stop leaking, they're out of oil".

Just the smell of that place was enough to give me a full-on chubby.
Gear Head paradise.

I've pinged Scott Brady and Chris Collard from Overland Journal and am trying to get them to head east and do a full pictorial on the Jeeps. Take them out on the trail, etc. I'm sure there could be some video...

Haven't heard back yet. I think it's Journal-worthy.

Hey, neighbor. I used to live in Sugar Hill.
I knew Rugged Ridge/Omix-Ada was around but I never really sought them out.
I ran into Dave the first time I hit the Upper Tellico OHV area in my completely stock 2008 Sahara. Everybody passed me that day....

I'll tell you what though; those RR people are serious Jeep-heads. They're not just hoisting the Jeep flag to make a buck. They bleed motor oil.
I've never in my life seen a place staffed with a higher percentage of true enthusiasts.

I was lucky enough to see a few of these at Bantam this year. It's great to see the history being preserved. Awesome collection!

Wow! If anybody does get a small group tour together, post a thread on here -- I'm very close by and would love to see it. And I mentor a fatherless boy every week who lives in Sugar Hill; that would be a GREAT thing for us to do one week. I could probably get four people together myself, if the timing is right.

That is just so cool!

Very, very cool collection, thanks for posting.

So starting at this pic, what are all the sticks for.

1. Transmission
2. Transfer case (4wd)
3. E-brake?
4. ??

Thoughts?

Transmission.

Power Take-off.

Separate sticks for 4-hi and 4-lo, rather than one stick that puts it in 4-hi, 4-lo, or N

The owner of #53 used the Jeep as a volunteer ambulance in Michigan. OA bought the Jeep from his widow. It's just the way he left it.
