I have found a few jeeps that fall in my price range with the equipment/options on them that I would want. I was wondering ya'lls opinion on color though.
- One is the commando green. I think this color looks pretty good on a jeep and would be a more unique color. Kind of that "different" color. However, I don't think I would want it on any other vehicle.
- Another is the silver/billet. This color is definately more common, yet it is very sharp and classy looking
- Of course you've always got solid black as well though.
i know it is purely a personal choice, but I was curious what others think.
I just bought a 2013 wrangler sport in Crush and absolutely love the color! It feels special and it is a really nice color.
As someone else said, black and silver are very common. The commando is a nice color and it has an almost classic Jeep feel. I would totally go for something like that...not black, white, or silver. That's why I had picked the Crush, because I didn't want to see a million other people with my Jeep.
Hope this helps
I've come to realize that Crush is the rarest around these parts and Commando looks the best but only when modded. There's a CG Oscar Mike that's the best I've ever seen. Stock, though, is a different story. Black is too common and hard to maintain. Silver looks great clean or dirty, but is a bit too common for my taste.
"I have a great ambition to die of exhaustion rather than boredom."
Down here by me I see a lot of Wranglers in red, white, black, and silver. There are many in Crush and Dozer. Not many in Commando and not many in True Blue. You have to pick the color that you are going to be happy with, but if you want something that will be different and not something that everyone else has, pick the Commando.
My first choice was Cosmos Blue. That wasn't available, so as I was sitting in the dealer looking at Dozer (on a Rubi) and True Blue (on a... something else that Chrysler slaps a Jeep badge on, but really, if it isn't a Wrangler, I can't really remember)... and the Dozer kept calling to me like a flame for a moth.
In short: select a color that make YOU want to look at it.
Funny how everyone without black, silver, or white say they are far too common for them. The reason they are common is because they are classic, and always look nice.
That said, I'll say the same as someone above. Commando green looks awesome when it's modded (not so much stock). I don't care for the skittles colors too much. I saw a crush with black wheels that looked good, I just don't think I could have such an in your face color without getting sick of it.
While I think black and silver are very "common" colors, I do think they look very nice when modded. A black Jeep all blacked-out and modded looks awesome. But having said that, a Jeep is one of the few vehicles that can be had in a variety of colors and be able to pull it off. It adds to the fun factor to have a color that is different. Look around when you drive down the freeway and look at car colors,....black, black, silver, white, black, blue, silver, black, white, red, black, silver, etc.....and then BAM!!!! A Jeep in a skittles color smacks you right in the face!!!
That's amazing. Commando green was built for the Jeep and probably doesn't look good on any other car. Many people dont like it but it's always a personal choice.
I just bought a new 2013 Rubicon in Rock Lobster (a color which I'm in love with), but would have definitely considered Commando Green if my dealer had it. There is nothing wrong with black, silver, white, but if I was in your shoes, I would go green!
We get a lot of positive comments on our commando green JKR- many more than I expected. Even family members and friends (usually the toughest critics) all claim to like it!
A couple of people stopped to say "that is a GREAT color for a Jeep" when we first got it, which helped reinforce my last-minute switch from DCR.
CG is not a common color around here; it won't stand out in the winter rains and moss-covered woods like a skittle color would, but that's fine by us.
