Color regrets??

Its been over 3 months since I picked her up. I LIKE the white with black fenders and hardtop, but I dont LOVE it. I wish I would have (could have) waited. Id be driving a Crush colored Sport instead, no doubt. I think its an awesome color. Anyone else have any color regrets???

I have an impact orange 06 TJ with a black top - I still love it but never made the connection with Harley Davidson colors. Not that it's a bad thing but people are always like "nice, you got the Harley edition!" There's only one other person with the same color in my area but I got bigger tires

I am like you Zip, although I didn't buy mine from new, I got it when it had 24,000 k on the clock & the color silver is not in my choice of favorite colors. It's ok but I love the mango tango orange or the red rock pearl, then that dark metallic blue is really nice too. Of course some of those colors aren't available in the 2012's but I would choose something else apart from the crummy color I have. You now what though? it's a Jeep, it does what I want it to & it's fine, one day I may go for some graphics or something to change it a bit

that's why every color thread that pops up, I try to champion for picking a color you love over anything else. wranglers will all drive the same, and can all be modded. but the one thing you get to pick that really matters is how it looks.

mango tango

I have what I like to call 'metallic baby poop green'. I fell in love with it when I bought it, but ya know, two years later... I'm not in love anymore... maybe if I wash her it'll look better. Idk lol

Sahara Tan Sport "S" was the ONLY Wrangler and colour I wanted. My dealer had mine with almost exactly what I wanted for options.....almost. Sahara Tan was a must. I think it will continue to please me for a very long time. It was love at first sight----so too was my wife of 41 years. Blind date--married 6 months later.

My first choice was Sahara Tan but it was built with the wrong axle. I could not get another so I ordered Crush and waited a few months. I love it.

Well, the good thing is, I dont hate white. I just like Crush more. My fault for being impatient. But at the end of the day, its still a Jeep. And white doesnt look to bad when its dirty.

I'd take white/black over fluorescent orange any day... grass is always greener

I came very close to purchasing a sahara tan JKU last year. I love the color but plan to keep the jeep for many years and am unsure if i will like it that long. Thus, I decided to go simple and ordered my 2012 JKU in bright white. A white wrangler always looks great to me. I must say that I am really liking crush these days with the black top and fenders, but once again, i think i would get sick of it eventually.

I went with the bright white... I had a hard time between white and sahara tan. I pretty much flipped a coin to choose the color... "Bright White" it is and have no regrets... I've had it for three months and still loving it...

Wasn't the color I wanted but it became the color I wanted. Love my Dark Charcoal Pearl. Probably one of the rarest Jeep colors made. They only made them for two weeks.

This is one of the main reasons I went with bright white......I was thinking long term and the "sick of this color" factor. White & black are always safe colors, and in the case of the Wrangler, red, IMO.

I went with Flame Red, and it is amazing. I told my wife to pick whatever color she wanted, and that's what she selected. I was even thinking of White or Black initially, but after we bought it, I just can't stop looking at it! Since then, I've seen Black, White, Silver, etc., and they seem rather blasé IMO.

The only challenge to red is that you have to keep up with waxing frequently, as the Florida sun will eat it up, but i've had red vehicles before, and know how to keep them looking new 10 years down the road.

That said, it would suck to pay that much for a vehicle, and hate the color. I'd almost have to have it repainted if I were in that situation. And I'm not a 'safe' color person. Get what you like and move on.

White,, I love white!! Let me try to give you some inspiration. I really like color. Try to forget every other Jeep you have seen and the color and black themes. I always wanted to build a white jeep with a far out accent color.

Think Alaska and the arctic. That deep Blue Ice color. The bright deep soothing knock your socks off blue! White wheels with blue lug nuts and blue outer rings. An AEV hood with the side and center vents in that Deep Blue. A stubby bumper in Blue with the lights that have the blue lenses. New seat covers stitched with blue thread and border cord. Your wrangler, Rubicon or whatever you decide sticker in the blue. Now shocks, diff covers whatever flaots your boat.

If for some reason you dont like Blue, then find a color that drives you wild and have some fun. I want a white Jeep and some Blue fever!!

I hope this helps and believe me, You can have a Jeep that makes you go WOW every time you see it..

This is what I see in my mind everytime I see a white Jeep..

I got white. And I like it. But I got white because the other colors do not inspire me. I really want an orange color. The oranges they have seem like mutants. I want an orange like Chevys engines used to have back in the sixties. A he-man orange, an orange that says I am the badest mother fu........................................ wait my wife is calling me. Sorry I cannot finish I have to take out the trash, shave my mother in laws carbunkles and clean my wifes douchebag. I will finish later(god willing) Gotta go! YES DEAR! I am on it right now!

Give me a shout next time you are coming up.

Back in 1979 I bought my first New 4x4. It was a Ford F-150 in Silver. Back then we didn't have many choices for Mods. Basically white spoke wheels or chrome, a few black accessories and a couple choices of tires. There was no color back then in Mods.
I remember seeing a blue similar to that on a Yodel package of some sort of cake at the convenience store. So off to the body shop I went with the wrapper.
I drove my Dad wild when I put a 4" lift, 38" Gumbo Monster Mudders and painted a dual pipe roll bar (the chit back then) and wheels that bright deep blue with less than 1 K miles on the truck. I have always wanted to do another one. At that time it was the only thing like it in NH. Everyone else was chrome or black.
If I can find a pic somewhere I will let you know.

Ours is white and we love it. We thought about flame red and bright yellow (which ended up not being available on the 12's), but we decided to stick with the white for a few reasons. First, having lived in AZ for over 20 years, the wife and I have developed a liking for white vehicles. Second, white is by far the easiest color to maintain. And third, in 10 years your white Jeep will almost look as good as it did the day you bought it.

Keep your chin up. I think in the long run you are really going to be glad you got the white one.

It also helps conceal the brush and off-roading pin-strips we put on the jeeps... good luck if you have a dark color when it comes to scratches on the clear coat.
