Computer in jeep

Any suggestions on storing a computer in the jeep? I need to lock up the computer when I go to work, but need it for clients after work. I can't bring it into the building with me because it is not allowed in the government facility.

Thanks!!

What facility? Is it a base? If so just toss a jacket over it.

Easy...

Tuffy trunk enclosure...

There is another locking enclosure even smaller than the trunk enclosure that locks where your jack is at.

I close my computer bag's arm strap in the door, then lock them. Not 100% but someone would need to enter the Jeep and cut the strap (or open the door and sound an alarm).

Still my favorite, they need to make this for a 4 door now for about $250.

It does fit the 4 door! It just mentions the 2 door because most things added to the 2 door requires the rear seat to be removed.

Does anyone know if that Tuffy enclosure will work with a Trektop NX?

I have these two:

Love them....

And yes, the Tuffy trunk enclosure works with the factory soft top and the Trektop NX because they both use the factory rear window bar and clips.

Hey Mark,

Do you happen to have an iPad? Will it fit in the drawer? We've been looking for something small to lock up the iPads without having to do the whole trunk.

Thanks!

Sweet! And how does the back of the trunk enclosure secure to the tub of the Jeep? The instructions aren't entirely helpful. I ask because my subwoofer box sits in that area and I'm pretty sure it will clear it, but I just want to make sure before I spend the money.

Edit: Sorry, thought you were referring to the security tailgate enclosure.

It uses the drivers side rear seatbelt mounting bolt and the subwoofer mounting bolts on the passenger side. The subwoofer ends up being enclosed. I have only had mine for about a month, but I absolutely enjoy being able to stash stuff back there and know that they are out of sight. The enclosure also looks like it is factory. Even on my 2 dr with the rear seat out, it just blends in.

There are two versions of the enclosure. One for 2 doors, and one for 4 doors (longer). However the 2 door version can be used in the 4 door, and the 4 door version can be used in the 2 door (if you remove the rear seats).

Both of them secure to the tub in the same manner. Bolts and and brackets on the side of the tub, with the rear gate acting as a locking door. You cannot open the top of the enclosure without opening the rear gate.

Wait...are you talking the trunk enclosure?

You don't have lockers inside the building for personal items like cell phones, laptops or other crap?

No devices at all seems pretty out of the ordinary in my experience, but I can understand it with all the crazy stuff going on lately.

I installed the Tuffy Security deck in my 4 door 2013 JK a few weeks ago for the same reason. Extremely pleased with it. Looks great, works as promised, and only took me about an hour to install.

I've read some reviews online that say it barely fits, but fits and others say it doesn't fit at all. So I guess it must be reeeeeaaalllyy close.

Thanks for your help! I appreciate it!

It fits, but it's the same product as the two door - meaning - the security box ends up being pushed up against the tailgate and then there's a large gap between it and the rear seat backs again, so it cuts my cargo space in half.

If they made this style to cover the entire rear cargo of a 4 door, then I'd be interested - the closest right now is the one that Tuffy has and it is removable pieces. I don't want removable, I want a solid piece. I also don't want to spend $450+.

Also, for reference - this one is almost what I'd like, but once again it's designed to be removed without tools - and it's $350. If it was done right I'd really consider it though - http://www.northridge4x4.com/shop/tu...e-tuffy-tfs299

The original one I liked bolts securely into the rear seatbelt bolts at the bottom, which I like a lot - http://www.northridge4x4.com/shop/tu...sure-tfs282-01
