Did this little trick when I bought my current 2016 Black Bear and my 2015 Challenger Scat Pack Shaker. TrueCar has a deal WITH FCA. Internally it's called a "live prospect" and it provides you with $1000.00 towards the purchase of any FCA product ON TOP of any other deals/incentives. The deal is valid for multiple vehicles.
When doing a TrueCar build/search for my Son on a Wrangler, I received an email from TrueCar once again, offering me a code to give to the dealer to get an additional grand off.
When I purchased my current 2016 JKU, my selling dealer (Jasper Jeep) wasn't even a TrueCar dealer. The finance guy was skeptical thinking this was only for TrueCar participating dealers, but after a quick call, he learned the money is actually coming from FCA and he didn't have to pay a dime to TrueCar.
So, short story. If you are considering a new Jeep purchase, go ahead and build it on TrueCar, go through the steps of getting a certificate, but wait. It should take about 2 weeks, but you should get the deal.
The majority have jeeps, or just recently purchased. There's a slight few that do frequent the site so this should help them with purchase. Every $1 helps.
I tried that - it didn't work for me. I think they only pick a subset and probably filter that based off of region that could use more incentive $$ spent to boost sales.
Definitely try! But don't be dismayed if it doesn't happen.
Well, I've been picked twice then. It took about 2 weeks for me to get an email from TrueCar after I did the initial search and "locked in" certificate. I'm guessing they wait a week or two to see if you buy, then if not, send this to you to "entice" you.
Is this deal only for 'In stock' jeeps? I'm looking at a Rhino Rubicon manual, and the Jeep website vehicle locator couldn't find one within 300miles, so I assume I'll need to order it.
Thanks!
no problem. I'd give it a few weeks, and you should receive an email from TrueCar with the code. The code is unique for you and usually lasts several months. Like i said, i used the same code for the purchase of my 2016 Jeep and my 2015 Challenger.
My last code seemed valid for around six months. You can always call the FCA incentives department and they can tell you what available incentives you currently have, and expiration
Yeah, if you live in an area with a lot of TrueCar dealers, you'll get a few calls. They will diminish significantly after a day or two.
Now, give it a few weeks, and I think you will become a "live prospect" in the FCA system and receive the email. Once again, the code you get is good on any FCA product.
Wish I knew about this 6 weeks ago when I ordered my JKU. Oh well. Hopefully it's still something I can do in 5-10 years if I choose to get into a JL after buying a house.
Bazinga, you haven't missed out. Build one on TrueCar, wait a few weeks for the certificate. You haven't bought the jeep yet, only ordered one. Once it arrives, bring the offer code in. Seriously, the dealer loses 0 money on this deal. It's all from FCA.
Set up Truecar last week, hopefully something comes fairly soon.
