Aren't the brackets to strengthen the mounts and add protection off road?

Would uppers really be needed?

Hmmm. Try here (if you haven't already). It's the Mopar site. Click on Service and Parts.

Not a very intuitive site.

Got a few more things I'm gonna try while you're looking.

Jeep.com

Crap, I've been hunting for stock. Not having much luck, though.

If you type "control arm mounting bracket 2012 jeep jk" into Google, you'll get a ton of hits, but they're mostly relocation brackets that come with various kits.

Might have to just suck it up and call the dealer...

I'm in the same spot, I had to replace the passenger side upper control arm mount. I found a mount that looks right at 4wd.com, and ordered it, and it comes in tomorrow. I'll let you know how it turns out. In terms of the drivers side, check with 4wd, ead, or cruise around pirate4x4.com. finding one for a dana30 will be an absolute nightmare, but I'm sure its doable. I know for a fact I saw more drivers side than passengers. Because I only found 3 passengers (and one for for a 3" OD tube, which I think is dana44), and I don't even know if its right!

also, most important, what axle do you have? dana44 or dana30?

Do you need both sides, or just passenger? I cant imagine you need the drivers bracket, do you? it sits on the pumpkin, if you broke that, I suspect you cant use the housing. And more importantly, you might as well just go with some custom suspension work, would be a hell of a lot cheaper to get some dom tubing with johnny joints and custom brackets on the frame and axle then to replace the factory stuff. If I hadn't just bought new UCAs, I would have done that myself. Again, hit up pirate4x4.com for some good info there

I'm assuming its the proper sized bolt for the new joints (aka replacing the factory axle side UCA bolts with those) total tool list I suspect would include both welding on the new bracket and the gusset, and a bearing press to remove the factory bushing from the drivers side UCA bracket and to press in the new one. complete overkill, but hey, what can you do. do you have an exact list of what you need to replace?

the passenger side was pushed back pretty hard, breaking off the lower control arm bracket, easy find, but the upper control arm bracket mounted to the frame is badly twisted, along with the axle mount as well. i would say the driver side would be fine..

gotcha. Rubicon Express Part RE9986 - Control Arm Bracket by Rubicon Express is what I bought for myself. in terms of the frame side, I imagine you can find a bracket at any of the websites suggested to me, you should just measure the bushings and frame to see how wide you need;

Quote:
you can buy brackets online there's a bunch of places ruff stuff,poly performance, ballistic fab shop around some are not too much money go to pirate 4x4 forum there more than enough vendors on there to keep you busy looking it's one of my biggest problems is go there and I never want to leave lot's of cool stuff.
