Corbeau Seats In My 12 Rubi

My seats came yesterday but I couldnt do any thing with them. Wrong brackets!! They will be here hopefully by next weeks end!.

But I did start the rip out Friday night to see where and what all the wires were doing under there!!

First the seat belt chime wire. Thats an easy one because Im using the factory setup. (Corbeau said there are provisions on the brackets).
The trickey one is the airbag sensor. I followed the wire and found this buried in the seat foam.

When flexed it pins the needle on my meter meaning its basically an on and off switch. This is not a problem either.

Started the red and black theme also!! Will post more when the brackets come in!!

Just got these corbeau seats in and like yourself I have the wrong brackets. My fault though accidentally ordered the brackets that only go up to a 10. I'm installing them in to my 2012 Jk with the 4 point harnesses. I'm interested to see your seats in. Post pics when your done.

I ordered brackets marked in the catolog as 2007 to 2013 but only the 2door brackets changed four doors are the same! They never caught it till now.

I talked to them about this and was assured they fixed the problem. They also recommended a non reclining seat if you plan on heavier four wheeling .

Ok brackets came and it was install time. Undid all the wiring from the original seats such as the passenger airbag occupancy sensor and this one I found on the drivers side. Not sure what it does but I mounted it in the same position I removed it from.

Brackets fit good. A little fudging but not bad at all. All the holes and bolts were there for the factory seat belts also! Nice!

Tucked and tywrapped all the wires, then installed the seats.

Looks good right? Until you look under the seat. I had to do something about the exposed bracket look. So i decided to use the factory plastic pieces from the original seats! Its amazing what ty-wraps and a glue gun can do. A couple of drill holes and heres the finished product.

Overall the are very very comfortable!! They are a little harder to get into due to the side bolsters but im getting use to it. I do wish they could go back a bit farther but I can live with that also. I would definetly do it again!

I gotta tell you jkjeeper, I love them and even the wife commented on how "comfy" they are . Plus you can order them with an additional lumbar pump through corbeau.

A little bit lower. I put a piece of 5/8" strut on the brackets to raise it a bit and take it back a bit.
