Could someone help me identify this?

Just found this on my new 35" duratrac spare tire. I have no idea what it is. It looks it could be dry rot. But how?? This tire is brand new. Also, it has weird rust colored spots where the rubber seems like it was burned/melted/corroded. Upon touch, the rubber that is affected in those spots seem dry and brittle, with tiny flakes coming off on my finger.

What is this, and what do I do?

Looks like there was a tiny bit of dirt in the mold. I don't think anything is wrong with it. I bet it'll wear off very fast after you drive on it

Yea, it definitely seems like something got in the mould. But what's weird is that I don't see it on the other tires. Upon close inspection there seems to be little bits of rust colored pieces that resemble little bits of wood or maybe even metal that got moulded into it.

I always thought dry rot were just cracks.

I don't know what I should do about this.

Look closely at the end of one of the treads. It is missing a piece or "chunk". I wouldn't be very happy with a brand new tire and that.

Take it off the spare tire rack and put it on the ground; then go find some MUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That will cure the brown spot!!!!!!
