I saw this this morning and was hoping they'd turn up today, Keeping my fingers crossed they are found soon, it's been 36 hours already and that's damn cold without proper gear.

Hopefully they are found soon...
Hard to image people still go out alone and don't pass details. Hopefully they have supplies in the jeep but 6 people in a TJ is tight.

Wow that's really cold to be out there. Let's hope they had cold weather gear and blankets. I hope they come out unscathed.

Nope. It's becoming a bigger story and the search has widened.

This is why I'll never wheel alone and will always take a GPS locator with me.

Hopefully they had the sense to stay with the vehicle! Burn the spare for heat and melt snow for water!

Note to self, only those with gecko green Jeeps should play alone in a snow blizzard.

And illegal. If they don't have the common sense to strap their kids in safely I doubt they had it, or the room to carry it, for the bringing of survival gear. I feel for the children suffering due to their parents lack of common sense and sound judgement.

I see they have been found now. Let's see if the taxpayers flip the bill for the rescue efforts or if they charge this guy for it (yeah right ). The taxpayers should not have to pay for the stupidity of the individual. I still feel bad for the children that this is the example they are being given by their parents. Stupid is as stupid does I guess.

I work fire rescue and we do bill for all extrications or technical rescues. Its a flat rate however. It covers some of the cost but nowhere near all of it. There can be a big arguement for or against this and I am not going to start or continue this but I do agree that some expense has to be covered. We ndo run on taxpayer money and these people may be taxpayers. As long as we take care of people first then worry about who pays what I am OK with that. I am not sure what that jurisdiction doesfor recovering some expense. But for us, believe it or not the people do pay.
It is always a shame that the kids suffer because of bad decisions of parents but ya can't pick your parents.

Despite his crappy judgement. He kept them alive in tough conditions. Glad for the kids safety. Driver needs to be flogged.
