coyote swap?

i have searched all over and cannot find a single thing about anyone doing a coyote 5.0 swap in a JK. It's only 60lbs heavier than the 3.6 and more power. Why has nobody done this conversion?

I just googled to see what a coyote engine is. For the price, there's no reason to reinvent the wheel with a coyote swap. Just have a supercharger kit installed specifically made for the JK.

I would agree that there is no need for it, but I would think a 5.0 would last a lot longer then a supercharged 3.6. That 5.0 is a beast, I know, I have one, lol.

If you were going to all that work you might as well slap in a tuned Ecoboost....the thing would haul and then some.....twin turbos would be fun.

well theres all kinds of companies that offer conversion kits for hemi engines. why isn't there a market for the 5.0? a lot lighter (all aluminum, 444lbs vs. 485lbs). 412 horsepower, 390ft-lbs of torque, vs. the hemi with 390hp, 390ft-lbs of torque

I say no to doodoo ford anything and say yes to the all aluminum LS7. 427 cubes with 505 hp and 475ft lbs of torque. Had a buddy install one in his camaro and he said it was 444lbs with the clutch and flywheel. The hemi is a beauty though. Best looking engine in my opinion.

The Hemi can bolt up to the new auto 12+ Its a logical choice. Dont forget about the 6.1and 6.4 they are bad motor scooters and with a blower are insane torque monster.

The LS7 is wild but twice the price of a 5.0.

It'd take the ford engines in their new(er) line ups any day over any Chrysler POS engines. And this is coming from a guy with a Chrysler Pentastar, a brother with a ford 5.0, and a dad with a ford 6.2L.
