Crush JKUR with Katzskin perforated leather seats (Katskin)

I've been meaning to post these for a long time - feel free to ask any questions. We are 100% satisfied - the leather is MUCH better quality than the OEM.

The stitching matches the crush exactly. There is also crush on the inside of the perforations which is a nice subtle touch.

That looks really nice. I'd be afraid to put leather in mine just cause I think I'd get it messed up quick but damn... it looks awesome.

FWIW, good leather is a hell of a lot better in the elements than cloth or cheap leather.

With that said, I'm truly going to try and keep this one from getting caught in the rain with the top down.

I added leather seats to my '12 JK build only because of my 5yr old daughter. She would have destroyed the cloth seats in no time.

Just what i wanted to see, exactly what im about to order only Auto, But wanted to see if anyone had done the katzskin leather and Crush Rubi.
The perforations... are the Holes loose, reason why i ask is we have kids and when Kids are bored they love to pick and pull at things. could a kid shove something into it and stretch the leather holes?
Also in your pics what size of rims/tires are those? they look bigger then stock... could be the angle. and do you have a lift? or are you full stock?

Thx again for the great pics.....cant wait to order mine in a few days

Looks great! Makes me wish I had gotten silver stitching instead of black.

You'll love the perforated leather. It's amazing how much cooler the seats are - even in black.

Very nice!!!

I've been thinking about adding Katzskin leather to my 2010 but wow is it $$$!!!

Maybe down the road after I've completed other mods first, ie lift/tires/wheels...

Thanks for posting this - It looks like Katzkin clearly offers some of the best quality leather seats in the industry (why did they not pop up in all my googling?).
I assume seat itself retains the same exact seat contour and support as the OEM seat alone. Still this may be the best solution. It certainly looks impressive.
I wanted change the entire seat, and figure out how to fit late model Grand Cherokee front seats into a 2012 Wrangler. Can't seem to find an answer to that question yet.
Thanks again for the info!

Your seats look awesome! Congrats!

I also got the Katzkin leather with accent stitching upgrade on my 12 4 door Rubicon. I got black with silver stitching, and think it looks great.

Question for you. Could you PLEASE take a picture looking down at the FRONT seat BOTTOMS and show how they WRAP under the INSIDE EDGES near the E-BRAKE. Mine are wrapped around the front and outside edges... but left as lose leather at the bottoms and backs of the two front seats???

Also, could you take a picture of the back of the front seats and let me see how your map pockets look. Mine look like they had 5 lbs of flour in each one. All stretched out looking????

Thanks in advance.
Best,
Jacob

Did you do the install yourself? And if you don't mind me asking how much did you spend for the set?

Congrats on the Katzkins, they look great with the color-matched stitching.

I was going to order them for my 2-dr Rubi, but the dealer advised me to think twice about it if I have an eye for detail.

The Katzkin seat covers are usually installed by somebody in the "Katzkin installer network." That can be literally any car/detail/car stereo/body shop in your area.

Even if they do a 99% job on your seat covers, there will be some "loose edges" and piling and bunching of the leather in certain areas.

Upon closer inspection in-person, and through research on the forums, it appears to me that the Katzkin covers look loose and bunch up in certain places on pretty much every installation.

Personally, I like the fit and finish of the OEM leather - plus the feeling of $1200-$1500 in my pocket.

But...I don't think anybody can argue that the color schemes on the Katzkins and the softness of the leather are slightly superior.

~Cheers

I don't know where you got your Katzkin quote from???

My dealer offered to do it with accent stitching for $995, in lieu of a USAA rebate of $1000 I was supposed to get, and they dropped the ball on. When it was all said and done... I don't know if the dealer ever got the rebate or not... but I never paid a penny more for them.

A little lose, I could understand... my back map pockets look ridiculous, and I don't understand the seats not being wrapped under all 4 edges of the front seats?

I'll try to get some pictures and I'll post 'em up. I'm planning on installing the underseat lockable storage from Bestop this weekend, so I should be able to get some good shots.
