Picked up my Jeep today...it is not complete, yet. But man, does it sound phenomenal. I am very happy with the sound. The clarity in the vocal is right on, the mids are perfect, and the bass is right on cue. I am doing on upgrade though. Right now I have a temp box which will be replaced with this:

Car Audio - Stealthbox® - Jeep - Wrangler - Jeep Wrangler 2dr '07-Up

I will post some photos tomorrow of what I have done so far. Then more photos when I get the other work done.

Next up is the exterior.

I thought about mounting to the tailgate as well. The wires would be a risk in that location. I looked on Google and found a custom box that mounts UNDER the rear seat. I only have a 2 door and bought it keeping in mind it was purely for recreation and not be used to move my child into her college dorm...ya dig?

I am thinking of going with this considering all options but this might be nice under the driver's seat where I would want to feel the bass anyway.

Amazon.com: Kicker Hideaway Compact Powered Sub: Car Electronics

Thoughts?
I have this. It won't fit under your seat if you have a 2 door. It's lackluster. It's ok with a hard top and the windows up. There's holes in the skin tho. In at in a JBL 10" with a. 1" volume sealed box

System upgrade

Just finished the install on my JKU. Replaced the front speakers with Rockford T3 6.5" components, the rears with Rockford Marine 6.5"'s, removed the horrible Alpine 8" and replaced with a Rockford P3 12" in a custom ported enclosure. All powered by a Rockford Punch 5 channel amp. We used a Rockford 360.3 dsp processor to connect to the factory radio and eq the system. Overall, extremely pleased. Plays loud, sounds great and retains the look of factory, other than a slightly larger sub enclosure. Also installed the new Viper Smart Start security system and remote start. Incredible, great control and monitoring ability via your iphone.

Yeah, that enclosure's great. I've got a JBL 8" sub waiting to be installed in the factory enclosure, but if I'm still not happy with that then a custom enclosure will be my next step. They aren't too difficult to build if you have the tools and the patience.

How difficult was this to mount to gate? Would you recommend?

So, my system is complete...it sounds better than previous cars I have owned with booming systems. The audio place I went to did an outstanding job.

Deck - Kenwood DNX890HD with GPS
AMP - Kenwood XR-5S
Components - 2x Pioneer TS-D1720C
Speakers - 4x Pioneer TS-D1720R
Camera(s) - front and rear Kenwood CMOS-210
Subwoofer - 10" JL Audio 10W6v3-D4
Enclosure - JL Audio Wrangler Stealthbox

Also installed FULL proximity sensors, tilt sensors, and motion cameras.

Photos will be posted right after I get all of my other additions.
