Anyone have any luck having a tire cover monogramed. I am looking to have my college's logo done and am looking for something a little more custom than just having a sticker stuck on there.
Tire covers are usually made of cloth backed vinyl and that doesn't normally bode well for having them monogrammed. Because the stitches are so very close in monogramming the sewing process will cut the vinyl in such a way that it could severely weaken it and the emblem would break out.
Now, if you could get a monogrammed patch and stitch it on there you might be OK.
Instead of having it painted, how about having a local shop silk screen it?
If you check around with them, someone may already have a set of screens for t-shirts that they use or something.
See the trouble with vinyl is that a lot of stuff doesn't like to stick to it either.
I think that the covers that come with something printed on them are silk screened or heat transfer or something along those lines. That way it doesn't peel off.
OH! I have an idea! Take it to an upholstery shop! They could do it as an an applique!
