Customized my shifter Knob, opinions?

Ok I got tired of the chrome look of the stock shifter knob. The leather had a small tear but with some work I got it mended. I decided to try painting the chrome black and then hit the indents on the shifter with matching mango tango color. I know that the orange is not squared perfect but its in there now.

GO ahead lets see what you think?? I am not sure what I feel yet?

Should of left it alone. May be better with clean lines. But they aren't.

Well I just got back in from hitting it with solid black. The lines from the orange just didn't look good for me. It is all black textured now.

The knobs on the base Sport's are all black, just in case the painted finish doesn't hold up. I'm with you that the fake chrome looks goofy.

Auto trams knob too? Everyone I keep looking in is chrome, but a black one would be nice.

If i pistol grip anything, it will be a 60's muscle car, they just beg to be on a 4sp. What is it doing kn an auto? I do like the 4x4 shifter though.

And on a second note.

I have a base model sport, only options were ac, and 3.73 ratio with my 6sp. Shifters are chrome.

Then she proceeded to apologize for the issue and refunded me my money "in case" the shifter does not arrive. Funny thing is I checked the tracing # and it will be delivered by Tuesday next week
