Dangaling plug from engine

I am a new owner of a brand new Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. I was inspecting my new ride upside down and inside out. I noticed a plug dangaling from the engine compartment down to the bottom near the chassy. I followed it up and it looks like it goes over to the side of the engine block. What is it?

Thanx, Eddie

It could be an engine block heater. That's my best guess without seeing the plug or where it's actually going.

Considering the OP's Username is "Snowboard One" I'll assume that you live somewhere where there is snow. Here in Canada, the 110v Engine block heater is standard. It is supposed to be neatly wire tied to the upper part of your engine compartment and tucked nicely on the drivers side. But it should not just be left dangling. I never really use mine, but if I did, in the winter months, I would bring it out towards the front and out the front grill. Then put it back away in the summer.

I do beleive it is an engine heater plug. I was checking my options and I have an engine heater. I snowboard yearly but I travel to California or Utah. I live in sunny Las Vegas and I purchased it here brand new. No need for that uption but oh well. Thanks again.
