The one to the left of the passenger heated seat button?

It turns on the power inverter so you can use the plug located on the front of the center console. I'm not sure that the outlet will be as useful as I first thought. It's not a grounded outlet (and you can't put an adapter on it), so I can't plug in my laptop, and I don't think it's powerful enough to run a shark mini-vac. Might be nice for charging a phone, but I can do that with the cig. lighter adapter. Anybody wanna share their experiences with the onboard inverter?

Thanks Duck. Maybe it can run an iPad or other similar devices.

Its supposed to be a 1300 watt outlet. My kids plug the AC adapter for their laptop in it and it works fine.

Is their laptop cord a 2-prong plug? Mine is 3, and I thought I read something in the owner's manual about not using an adapter on the outlet/inverter in the jeep. I'd LOVE to be able to use it for my laptop...that's what I was planning on when we bought it, but I also don't want to have a surge fry it either!

Since your laptop's battery acts as a BFC (Big Freaking Capacitor) you should generally be fairly safe from surges due to the lack of a ground.
