Dashboard Side Panel Removal

Is there a trick to removing the half oval side panel on the dashboard? It should be simple but it is behind the door frame flange on one side and there is nothing to grab onto on the other side. Maybe it is just too flexible right now since it is hot outside. Thanks

Screw driver or butter knife on the rear end (side closer to the seat, not the engine side) of the panel, and pry it out. They are spring clips holding it in, so it'll take a little force, but as long as you go slow, you'll be good.

small screwdriver, pop it out... the only tabs holding it in are on the front side. THe back side towards the windshield is just held in place by the tabs on the front.

A foam filled hole that surpasses the firewall so you can run switches/accessories without dealing with a ton of bs.
