Daystar, Rough Country, TeraFlex - all the same?

Looking to purchase a small (1"-2") spacer lift. Question is... Daystar, Rough Country, TeraFlex - are they all the same? What do you recommend? thanks

I have the Rough Country 1 3/4" spacer lift on mine for a year now. No problems at all.

Your Jeep sits perfect. I think 1 3/4 is the right lift for me. After you installed the lift did you have to replace the shocks? Can i stay with factory shocks? Also, what about wheel alignment after? thanks

My personal preference would be with Daystar. Because I know the company, the people, the owners, and the quality product they put out. Can't tell how many times I've gone over to their facility here in Phoenix and talked to Don about something I need and can't figure out and sure enough they have something I can use.

I am still using stock shocks, wheels and tires until I wear 'em out. Steering wheel stayed straight and axle shift is minimal and barely noticable. Tracks straight too and rides just fine.

Well, no matter who you go with ( and I noticed you did not mention them BUT!) do not go for the Full Traction 2" spacer lift.

Ask me how I know?

This is shortly after install.

And this is after ONE off road excursion

The spacer material is very soft and as you can clearly see, did not retain the spring properly.

These will be replaced with TeraFlex 2 1/2" spacers w/ built in spring guides. I know several JK's running the TF BB's and they have nothing but good things to say about them. TeraFlex customer service is top notch as well!

damn, sorry to hear that scott. thanks for sharing that though. maybe it will save someone else the trouble.
thanks priell and 1blk. I guess Teraflex, Daystar and Rough Country are all pretty solid. I went ahead and ordered RC 1 3/4" set this afternoon. cant wait to add it.

My two cents worth:
I spent hours on the phone trying to rig up my OCD "perfect" 2.5" coil lift. Went with RC for price, simply because I'll be going up again in a year or so (probably less ). Their customer service left me cold, and their shipping department ran my stuff a day late, then UPS lost the shocks- the last bit isn't their fault, but it was (because they ran late) due in last Friday, right before a long, holiday weekend, so I was SOL. RC also said they'd be in on that Saturday, and weren't. The 2.5" coil kit also lacks rear swaybar end links, which you will need, and no rear brake line extensions, which also aren't 100% necessary, but helpful, as the lines are stretching at full droop.
Tera Flex, on the other hand, has spectacular customer service. Carl is a regular over on JKO, and gets back to you quickly, and with honest, useful answers. The ONLY reason I didn't run their 2.5" coil kit is that they don't have separate 2-door/4-door kits, so the 2.5" turns into 4+" on the 2-door if you don't have steel bumpers, a winch, etc. He said they may be rectifying this soon- I wish it'd been sooner! With regards to their spacer kits, the 2.5" BB is a COMPLETE kit, which I like- comes with brake line extensions, rear end links, and the option of new shocks (do it!).
I haven't had any dealings with Daystar, but I've heard good things.
That's my 2 cents- Mark W.

i must be lucky then. I had great customer service and they already shipped them, just got tracking info and supposedly they will be here in less then one week. i don't think you need brake line extensions on 1 3/4" lift but i could be wrong. shocks aren't needed but they would produce a better ride. they are same material that the others use so i don't think there can be any difference there in quality of spacer itself. maybe my facts are wrong but i did a lot of research and spoke with several people. I let you know. If the lift isn't good it goes back... not a big deal.
