Decal removal

I used a hairdryer and peeled my decals over the weekend. I'm still not sure how I feel about it. What do you think?

Looks nice. No one needs a jeep sticker to know its a jeep, it is self evident.

I highly reccomend hitting those spots with a clay bar and waxing them.

I only removed the x stickers.

I like the look. I'm planning to do the same on my new Flame Red Sahara.

This is usually the first mod I do. Just brought mine home and will take the decals off as soon as I return home from business trip. I have stripped emblems from the last three new cars I have bought. Your red Jeep looks great without them.

I will leave my trail rated badge on too. I did not think to Plasti Dip the badge. How would you do it on the Jeep?

I took the "Sport" off mine and left the other decals, I'm a fan. Looks Great, stop second guessing and go out wheeling.

Wtf is a sport wrangler? Does it play foot ball? Baseball? Soccer?

Wtf is an x wrangler? Did it used to be a wrangler, but isnt anymore?

I also have a debadged motorcycle. Cant stand riding around on a billboard. The sport bikes have such blatant advertising its annoying.

You'll have to wait for the big reveal...nothing crazy...but definitely will be unique.

I pulled off the "Sport" stickers and the large "Wrangler" on the hood sides about a month after I got it. I think it looks just fine with the stickers off. Like everyone says, who needs stickers to identify what it is? Looks cleaner.

Here's how mine turned out. Not missing that WRANGLER that was on the hood.

Much better, I couldn't stand the sport decal too. I'm going to leave the Rubicon logo on my '14 I just ordered, that sticker is worth $4k lol....

I removed all except the rubi and trail rated badge. I dunno, to me.... the fact that I'm driving a 2 door convertible 4wd block on wheels with live axles and seven slots communicates "jeep" more clearly than any badge could.

I removed my stickers this week too. I bought a heat gun for the purpose, but it actually made it more difficult. They peeled right off without applying any heat. YMMV

At the car wash yesterday I had the guy hit the glue with some glue-b-gone and it cleaned right up; no fuss no muss... no need for clay.

I used a microfiber cloth and some WD40 to get rid of the glue. In the past I have also used mineral spirits, but that was on a jet ski and not on a vehicle. Didn't want to take a chance on the Jeep.

That was one of the first things I did to my sport as well. "Sport"? Stupid model for a Jeep anyway.

Cricket! That's right, my Wrangler Sport plays cricket. But, it makes the guy's who still use horses a little nervous. I may quit though, replacing my divots takes forever!

Anywho, I have de-badged as well.( Canadian flag is in honor of my dad and grandad who both served)

When we lowered our Wrangler 2" I had some Mall Crawler logos made up the same size as the Rubicon ones and put them on each side of my wife's hood!!

My Jeep

We bought a new 2013 Oscar Mike version of the Jeep. I loved all the little extras about that Jeep except the large star on the hood and the smaller ones in the back. I got home, took out the heat gun and got rid of the decals. I like it a lot better now.

Good call. I think those Oscar Mike stars are hideous.
