Decal/Striping question

I've been debating as part of my plans to add some stripes similar to the included picture of a concept jeep to mine. I was thinking I'd just get something like racing stripes from pixeldecals. I like the look, esp. to give the jeep something to set it apart a little.
But my concern is in a few years of I decide to remove the striping is the paint under the decal going to be obviously different from the rest of my hood/grill/etc. So my question is this a warranted concern or am I over thinking it?

All paint, dyes, fabrics and pigments fade over time. Some faster than others. If you block part of the surface with a stripe, you will slow down the fading process depending on the density of the material being applied. Therefore, you will see a difference in your paint if you take off the stripes in a few years. The longer the stripes are on, the more the fading will be noticed.

On another note, and this is just my personal opinion, I have a hard time relating a Jeep with racing stripes. In my mind, the two just don't go together. But it's your vehicle, so do what pleases you.

If you're going with a stripe of that size, you might want to look at using plastidip instead. it will most likely be much , and I do say MUCH cheaper and if you want to get rid of it it peels off easy. plus i don't think it'll fade, least from what I've been reading on it.

And a racing stripe gets you an automatic 15 extra HP....
You will definatley have fade in the paint. Or I guess, non fade where the stripe is. I have a Ford Expedition that used to be a sales truck for Case Farm equipment, and no matter how many polishes and things I've tried, the side of the doors and the rear lift gate where their logo used to be is still there on a sunny day. It's too bad because it is a an awesome red color. I wish the guy would have just put the logos on the windows.
A faded stripe may not be as noticeable as a big "CASE" logo though if you ever decide to take them off. It woll probably just look like a reflection or something.
