I'm looking at getting one of these summer top combos. I have a hard top and I'd like to be able to open up the jeep easier in the summer. I don't have the cash for a soft top or even the Trektop.
The Qudratec one is cheaper than the Bestop one. Do you guy think that the Quadratec combo has a lower quality material than the other or it's cheaper just because Qudratec makes it so they can sell it for less? which one would you get?
The Bestop looks better judging by only the pictures, but the material looks the same. Again, I'm judging by just the pictures. Its only a $70 difference though. Cut out some 'crap' in your life for a few weeks... Eating out, drinking alcohol, joy riding... And that $70 is made up very quickly.
I actually have the money for either one. If I go with the Qudartec one I can get a couple other small things I want to put on the Jeep but I don't know if the Qudratec one has the same quality that the bestop one.
Question...whats the benefit to getting this set up versus a regular soft top? Why get the jammer, duster and bikini rather than just a softop instead? Not trying to be a smart a$$, genuinely just don't know what the draw is. Is it just looks or is it that much easier to go topless with this set up. Thanks!

I want it because:
I like the looks. Kindamakes it look like a truck. With I could get the Brute, but $80k for a vehicle is more than I will spend. My first house cost that much!
I dont really need a rear seat
No matter how much I clean, the plastic windows seem to get dirty and/or scratched making my Jeep look old in comparision to a hardtop/fulldoors of the same year.
Tonneau cover hides view of things in the back and is cheaper/easier to use than say a Tuffy deck even though it lacks the abilty to fully secure items.
Ehh no real benefit, I have the reg soft top too. I've just always wanted one of these tops. It will be easy to take off when I want to go topless. Just a bunch of straps you undo
So, no one has really answered the first question. Does anyone know the actual quality of Quad's Bikini Top versus Best's? I really want one, but I'd rather buy several things, versus just one. We all know Best makes the best tops, but Quad is a good company.
I think it comes down to what you want it for.
The bikini tops with jammers etc are fun but not totally functional if you ride in the rain.
I hemmed and hawed over this too- I ended up going with the Bestop Trektop NX PURCHASED from Qtec.
There is no such thing as a rain free summer in upstate ny
I have wondered this myself. I knew someone who had the Quadratec combo a few years ago and it looked ok, but the top didn't fit well and it flapped a lot. Not sure about the quality versus Bestop.
