Deer vs jeep.. Aries brush guard wins

I've driven many many miles the length and breadth of the US and Canada and hit my first ever deer last night just 5 miles from home. It jumped out while I was doing 45 on this little country lane. The passenger , my boss, was absolutely amazed at how uneventful it was. It was a straight on hit of a medium sized deer, and the jeep just tossed it aside like it wasnt even there! We stopped about a mile away at his house and scoured the front end for damage. Not even a scratch.. All we could find was some deer fur in the radiator.
Kudos to the the aries brush guard , without I wouldve surely been looking at some body damage, if not radiator damage. Looking back, I think the lift helped too because the fact I was sitting high meant that I hit the deer high up on its back, forcing it down and to the side.
I love nature and hate to think I was the cause of this wild animals demise, but I also love my jeep and I am exstatic at the result.

Did you stop to see what happened to the deer?

There was nowhere to pull over and just a bad spot in general. I came by maybe 5 minutes later after dropping off my boss. The deer was right off to the side- I'm sure there was no suffering.

If the deer is going to live it will get off the road and back into the woods. Glad to hear that the jeep and you and your boss were ok. Oh.....WE NEED PICS!!!

glad that everyone in the jeep was unharmed. that's why us jeepers add these after market parts, not just for looks. and please put the deer out of its misery next time...45mph hardly sounds like an insta-kill. lol.

Glad to hear it turned out so well for you and that you were wise enough that you didn't put yourself or others in danger stopping in a bad situation.
