Detachable face GPS head unit?

Picking up my new Jeep this weekend. First upgrade I want to do is to purchase a head unit GPS system to replace the stock 130.

I'm thinking the best move since I will have a soft top is to try to get one with a detachable face. I just feel like if I don't it won't be long before that $1,000 hunk of thief bate gets yanked out of there by some scumbag.

Are there any out there that are compatable and will handle the blue tooth and steering wheel controls that also have a detachable face???

Any help or recommendations are appreciated. '12 Sport

Crutchfield web site has great choices and will include everything you need.
Do not go above 6.5 in detachable screen.

I haven't seen many detachable face DIN monitors when I was looking for mine. But I did end up buying the Jensen 9412 I think is what it was called. It does everything bluetooth USB aux gps back up cam steering wheel controls cd/DVD and I love it.

I went on their site and currently you cannot select at 12 Wrangler, only goes up to 11. Maybe they just haven't updated their site yet.

Seems like the only detachable face units I am seeing are the JVC's. Maybe it's still too new of a thing and the other manufacturers just havent caught up yet.

The JVC looks nice but I'm wondering if it will handle the ipod interface and the steering wheel controls?

The 12's and the 11's have the same wires and High Speed CAN bus and if you have the stock 130 radio with uconnect the JVC line will integrate well with the ipod interface and the steering wheel controls.
Just pick a JVC and place in cart then it will tell you that you need a steering wheel contol module at half price and full installation instructions.
Stay away from PYLE and Jensen as they are very cheap made.

Sure Jvc is not high end but it works for the jeep. Most radios manufactures sell their radio to others and just rename it.
