Did I miss the part of this thread explaining how to utilize the tail gate stop and no-headlights-at-unlock feature?

Awesome! My jeep has a cubby to hold my nuts. Doesn't get much better than that.

On a 2012:

Open the tail gate all the way there is a detent to hold it open.

------

Go into the EVIC menu, personal settings, headlamp off delay. Choose 0 to keep them off. Otherwise you can choose 30, 60 or 90 seconds delay.

I will go 1st.

I didn't know the sunvisors extended, the tailgate had a built in door stop and you could reprogram the alarm system through the user interface to NOT turn on the headlights everytime you unlock the door with the fob.

Are there any other word of mouth or "duh, when you find them" features?
I purchased my 2011 Rubi 15 months ago, and I did read the owner's manual. I never knew that the sun visors extended. In fact, when flipping the driver's sun visor to the side window, I have always been kind of irritated that it was so short.

Thanks for the good info.

If Daggo is anything, he's point blank. And I have no problem with it

I didn't find it in the owners manual, but it appears that there's a feature activated that will automatically wash the floor mats when you supply the top with an external water source. It automatically detects it and lets in an adequate trickle to flow to get the top layer of dust off.

I didn't know until yesterday in another thread. I found it very useful today, around 1pm, when using my spiderweb shade. If you turn them to the window, extend them and fold them up towards the shade...it blocks the little gap between the shade and roll bar! Good stuff!

I have no idea which side you're on...

If you've got drinks in the cup holder and you don't want your phone laying in the sun most phones (iPhone does, anyway) fits perfectly inside of the door handle.

My headlights turning on after pushing the unlock button was the first thing to stop working on my jeep. I was going to program it to not turn the lights on but now I don't need to. Wonder what's next to stop working on it's own.

I knew about the tailgate, but didn't know about the sun visor. Will check it out when I head to work. Good job!

I'm pretty sure if you're the original owner you can request a free copy from Jeep. There's a phone number on the inside cover of the mini-manual. I did it with my '12. It took about a week to get here but it was free.

I downloaded and read the manual BEFORE I bought my JKU.

I still leanr new stuff everyday by hanging out here and by hanging out in my Jeep.

Research is helpful, but NOTHING beats experiential learning.

Beside...playing with it is fun.

Especially the nut holders.mmmmIf they would advertise nut holders on with window stickers....they would never have troubles selling wranglers.

Ohh.....Wait....they never do have trouble selling Wranglers. I guess everyone knows about the holders.

Heck....Ive had mine 7 months now and JUST YESTERDAY I noticed there is a seatbelt for the middle position in the back seat. DOH!

How 'bout this one...there is cargo room UNDER the cargo tray.

I have gotten a lot of great information from the forum Jeepers that I couldn't find in the manual or wasn't addressed in the manual. Or I just missed.
Like when the factory doors are off, how the radio stays on longer, the tailgate still functions with lights and the security sytem.

And I run all summer with only the panels on. I can drive hiway speeds and no flapping. I sold my flapping Safari top less than a week after I got it.

And I have been bailed out on many occassions by others, even Daggo66.
I do appreciate having the forum to go to for help and for answers.
It has made having, and using my Jeep much easier and much more fun.
Thanks to all who participate and thanks for this thread.
Have fun!

This thread was driving me nuts so I went out and checked my '12 2dr Sport. No extendable sun visors. I wouldn't have cared either way as i never use them anyways. I'm too tall and they block pretty much my entire field of view.

My 2012 2 dr sport has them. Are you sure you pulled on them hard enough? The whole visor extends....they do not have an extender that comes out of it like on some other vehicles.
