Different tires

Ok so I bought my Jeep with 285/75/17 Toyo open Country M/Ts and Ultra wheels maverick wheels.
I am going in to buy 285/75/16 Duratracs and 16' MB TKO wheels.

The reason being the Toyos are just too heavy. And 17 inches is a bit much.

Does anyone know where I can get the weights for the Ultra Wheels and the Duratracs along with the TKO wheels?

I would really like to know if that change is going to make it enough of a weight difference for the cost.

Also would the Duratrac/TKO combo be easier on my axles?

One last thing. Does anyone know the BS on the 16" MB TKOs? I would like a beefier stance.

Thank you!

I went on discount tire direct and found the info on wheels and tires. They have the weights listed.

Why not go to a 285/70/17 P rated tire and keep your current wheels? The 285/75/16s are the same size as 285/70/17s.

Thanks for the help. I don't really like the bigger wheel. I was going to go to 15s but that was a bit much or little. Anyway. I've decided on the 285/75/16 duratracs with the MB Vortex wheel.

I don't think a 33" Toyo MT is going to put much strain on your axles enough to warrant this swap. If you were talking 35's or 37's, then maybe.

If you WANT different wheels, that's another story. I just don't think you're dealing with a weight problem here.

While we're at it, if you are swapping wheels, I'd say go to a 15". That will save you weight and around $100 per tire.
