dirt bike towing

I have a honda crf250r that I occasionally will need to tow. I currently use a small trailer that we use on our farm for trash and what not (this is the attached pic), but am looking for something a little nicer. I am looking at getting thisLightweight Aluminum Motorcycle Carrier - The AMC-400

I have a 2009 JKU. Has anyone used this or something simular to this? I have only found one thread on here and he seemed pretty happy with his. Any other suggestions?

It will probably work ok but that will be a lot of weight on the rear It will probably make it squat. I have a trailer like yours and I like that I can haul mowers atv dirt bikes ect and still have room for gas cans and gear not in the Jeep.

meh a dirtbike weighs what, 300-400lbs. another 100 ish for the carrier. it will be like having 2 really hefty people sitting on your tailgate. should be manageable.

I bet it would not be noticeable at all.

The bike weighs 204 lbs and the carrier is aluminum so it is 37lbs. I have read that the hitch receiver can hold up to 400 lbs (if I remember correctly but i could be wrong). The only thing with the trailer I have now is since the photo it has been run over, half burried, driven onto a pool and is not in the best of shape so I am looking for an alternative

At 260 pounds total(I'm probably overestimating the weight of your gas and oil) you are absolutely fine. That's not much weight at all
