disconnecting the soft top when replacing it with my hard top?

Three questions. Do I need to disconnect my soft top when replacing it with the hard top. Also, how do I disconnect the soft top from my Jeep, please be specific? Is there a proper way to store the soft top? I own a 2010 Shara Unlimited. Thanks.

Yes, you should remove the soft top prior to installing the hard top. It's easy, 4 bolts hold its frame to the brackets on the roll bars. Just remove the bolts, and pull out the frame. Store it in a cleanish, dry location. Folded as if it were lowered will take up less room, just hang it from some hooks in the garage, or slide it under a bed or something. Remove the windows and store them flat, with something soft like a towel between them before removing the top.
