Dissapointing Lift Result UPDATE

Rock Krawler sent me the new correct coils for my JKU Rubi. Just got installed and I now have a 1 1/4" lift.... Remember, This was purchased as a 2 1/2" lift and I didn't get any lift at all. That was because RK sent the wrong coils. (they are researching now to find out what they fit so I can sell them ) Now, the bad part is I really can't blame Jason at Krawloffroad, HE has always treated me good. He knew I had a lot of mods (weight) and Told me that RK stands behind their lifts and most are higher than advertized. Jason has 2.5" RK on his JK and it's got lots of mods and at least 2.5" lift. Rock Krawler now thinks I have plenty of lift. CASE CLOSED... also I had to pay for Installation. My 2012 JKU has Bushwacker fenders (light weight) JCR mid front bumper/12000#ingo winch, JCR rear bumper/tire carrier, ACE Rock Rails, (sold rubi rock rails minus 64lbs) 6 skid plates approx 240lbs, 35" Falken ATs. Jeremy at Rock Krawler told me their lift heights are for STOCK Rubicon. I was not told this until today..... I learned the hard way...No need to post new pic's for 1 1/4"

That sucks, I'd have thought you would still have gotten 2.5", not 1.25" based on what I've heard about the RK kits.

I'm in Bakersfield as well.

that does blow. Seems lots of people lately have been very disappointed there RK lifts.

Really can't blame RK as they do not know what equipment you have on your rig. That just goes to experience.

Hmm that's odd I've never heard of the issues with the 2.5. RK is usually solid with no issues. I know 3 people locally here running the 2.5x lift without any issues and one rig has a lot of weight onboard. RK is right down the road from me and I'll be installing a lift soon.

That seems so weird to me since ALMOST every other RK lift gets reported as being significantly higher that rated. Story always goes they do it that way so you still have the minimum lift with heavy bumpers and such.

Just curious to me that yours is short...

Anyway, hope you get it worked out man. Maybe try 3.5" coils to get the 2.5" you want?

NOT TRUE... They were told up front everything I had on the jeep. Everybody knew it was fully equipped with mod's......Don

I have front bumper/winch and a rear bumper/ tire carrier with a heavy spare, heavy tube fenders, and rocker guards on my 2 door.

I just swapped out my stock coils and 2.5 inch spacers for rock krawler 2.5s in the front and the rear and I added 3/4 inch spacers in the rear.

I got an extra 1.5 in the front and 2 inches in the rear from this so altogether it was about 3.5-4 inches with my heavy set up
