Do I want the dual top Option?????

Looking at getting a 08 Rubi and I'm not sure if I want to spend the extra $1000 it cost for the dual top VS just the freedom top. I don't see why I would want the soft top too. If the hard top comes off chances are it will stay off till I put the hard top back on.

What would be the advantage of the dual top option.

Thanks for any and all help

I had the dual top with the '00 TJ I had, never put it on. Was still in the factory carton when I traded it in for the JK. Unless you anticipate using it I'd suggest you do as I did and shop around for a JK with just the hardtop.

Hitchhiker, that's exactly what I think I would do but before I buy one I wanted some other opinions.

The only reason I could think of that I would want the dual top is when or if I ever had the hard top off and the soft top was just folded down and needed to put a top up or on in a hurry the soft top would maybe be handy.

I just got a 2008 Sahara with the dual top. I am just going to remove some or all of the hard top when I want to feel the wind.
If anyone is looking for a sunrider top send me a message. I will let it go cheep. Located in the St. Louis area. It's still in the box with the door frames. I dont like the idea of looking through foggy windows. I like the clear view with the hard top and will pop it off instead of switching to the sunrider.
