Do people stare when you're naked?

Stupid as this question may sound... Do you find it that people look at your JK more while you're driving naked? My Jk is stock... Except for plasti-dipped wheels... Nothing special(it is to me) but Even my wife has commented that she notices people looking as we drive past or parked when it's naked more than when it's not.

I'd like to think its a bit of jealously... Thoughts? Or is it just me?

Yeah they do , you will be amazed how many people don't know you can run no doors or have never seen someone with no doors

Probably because it's not normal to see a vehicle driving on the roads with no doors. Or it could be my stupid grin I have while doing a mundane task such as driving! =)

I took my doors off for the first time this weekend! (new Wrangler.) It sits outside, right off of our screen porch. My wife and I were having lunch there today and she didn't even notice! She has never noticed the winch that's been on the front for the last 3 weeks.

Three days ago:
Me: I got stuck last night when I was rootin' around off-road after dark. Went down in a "dry" creek bed that was full of mud from the rain and there was no getting out. Had to use the winch."
Her: How did the winch get you out.
Me: I hooked to a tree about fifty feet ahead of me.
Her: [silence & confused look]
Me: And then I winched myself out...
Her: What did the winch do?
Me: Uhhh... it shortened the rope which caused the Jeep to move forward.
Her: What rope?
Me: Do you know what the word "winch" means?
Her: No.

Anyway, I don't think nearly as many people are noticing you as you might think. A lot of people stare absently around but have no idea what their eyes are pointed at.

Yes ppl stare when the doors are off me and my girlfriend were driving with the doors off last night getting starred at. Or that could be because my girlfriend was blaring the radio and dancing to Nellys "It's getting hot in here." And because I know someone will ask NO she didn't take off all her clothes.. In the jeep

Yes and I also have noticed other Jeeps waving more when I'm naked. A lot of soccer mom owned Jeeps around here and a return wave is rare.

I was doorless and topless the other day, it was 11pm and pouring. I stop at a light and out of the corner of my eye I see a bright flash of light. I look over at a lady in a cadillac taking my picture...

I was getting crazy looks while driving the Jeep naked to the gym. Didn't realize that propping my foot up with basketball shorts that I was giving everyone a little show all the way through town.

I drive top down and doors off as much as possible. People always give a double take. I think it is what a few other guys said....people don't realize you can drive around with no doors and it catches them by surprise.

Definitely, before I got my Wrangler I would stare at any naked Jeep so I know others are doing the same.

I get stared at a lot too...but, living in the country, I do occasionally drive fully naked...with the top and doors off too!! Nothing like a good breeze getting to the dangly parts!

You're probably on facebook somewhere now lol

I get stares too...but I get stares in my truck as well. Something 'bout a beat up truck that sounds like a hotrod.

That kind of describes the average Connecticut driver right there.. These people go through life clueless, helpless and scared...

2 things: 1. Not to hijack but women jeepers wave less. I chalked it up to not wanting to give men the wrong idea. Understandable. 2. You get more cred from other jeepers driving naked. It's just cooler. This morning I saw a guy with a hardtop on. Like wearing a sweater at the beach IMO.

As far as naked, ppl stare tons. In my experience the ppl that stare the most are ppl driving BMW/Mercedes convertibles. They prob think they're the center of attention and then along comes a naked, lifted jeep w/ (relatively) massive tires.

No one's looking at your Mercedes anymore. That's just my experience.

Not only is it the "uppity" people that stare, but younger kids. My kids ride in the back and just wave as we pass by. All the neighborhood kids want to run errands with us with the doors off now.

I live in an area with a lot of little kids in it, and they always get excited when they see the Jeep around without a top or doors. They like to ride their bikes on the sidewalk next to me as I go through the development.

I once had a guy stare so hard he drove up onto the cement island in the parking lot. I felt a little bad but I couldn't stop laughing.

Jeeps have an attractive appeal even to non-jeepers. People always seem to look at Brutus. And when he's naked he's undeniable...lol

My wife let me drive her nekked Jeep today. As she left the DR office she was staring so hard that she scraped my car wheel on the median.
Now I get to sand /primer/paint another wheel. That makes 3 out of 4 wheels on my car she's scratched.

AND THAT FOLKS IS WHY I BOUGHT HER A JEEP!!

Is there a term for hard top on but doors off and front sunroof pieces off? Please enlighten me as that's how I have my jeep setup. I don't know about people staring but this is my first Jeep and we took off the doors and front sunroof pieces (sorry if that is the wrong terminology) and I am the one feeling naked!!

I feel like I don't know what to do with my hands, my feet are tapping, nervous feeling like I am exposed. I love love it when driving but when sitting at a light it still feels awkward, self conscious.

I am "overly" waving at other Jeeps and I am female so I'll make up for any non-waving ones out there. I'm probably a little too flamboyant about it but I'm so excited to see another one that I'm like a kid seeing Chuck E Cheese.

Do you wave all at jeep models or just your fellow Wranglers? I'm getting strange looks from others and hubby says I should only wave to other Wranglers.

Sorry long post. *wave!* ----Granny Sue

Kids totally love it. You'll see there little faces peaking around trying to get a look. Gotta return the smile and wave to the kiddo's, they get a kick out of it. I've actually been seeing more XJ people running doorless lately.
