For those who think RL looks pink, where you wearing dark glasses at the time?

I have noticed that dark glasses will shift colors slightly, and this may be affecting one's perception.

I honestly don't like the name. It reminds me of this

But on a serious side. I found this Rock lobster JKU with half doors and black accents that I think looks great. I agree that black top and wheels help balance the bright color. Here is the one that I think looks cool

First two photos are my JKUR, then the third being a black accented RL unlimited sport. I never once regret my choice of getting my RL, even with the Flame Red color being reintroduced.

I personally think the RL looks awesome when the sun hits it just right. I like that they keep changing the colors so they're not the same year after year. I was going to get a gecko green when I got my 13 but black was the only way the old ball n chain would agree to the purchase...

Love the Rubicon! And I agree I would not pick any other color! I debated Billet silver but Rock Lobster had me from the start. BTW love the screen name. I am a HK and Browning Firearm collector.

I got to choose between commando green, rock lobster and black when i bought mine. Commando green was my second choice after crush which was impossible to find. IF it had not been available i would have bought the rock lobster instead of the black one. I dont think it looks that pink in person, and i wanted a color that stands out.

I took some photos of the vehicle and have been looking at them regularly. Sometimes I think the color is just great - a quirky shade of red with its own unique character. I know it will look fabulous in the desert of southern Utah. But on a day-in day-out basis, I'm not so sure. I'm trying to imagine how I'm going to feel about after a few months or years. I dread walking out one morning, looking at it and saying to myself 'What in the world were you thinking?'

For those of you with RLs, do you like your color more or less over time?
My advice to you would be if you like it buy it. But if you have any doubts nothing is worse than buyers remorse. One more thing to remember is when you go to sell it someday your market will be smaller than with other colored Jeep.
That statement you made What was I thinking you better think about that now. I don't have a RL jeep my jeep is flame red it's my favorite colored jeep.

Don't regret the RL a bit. I actually had the dealership track one down for me and bring one all the way from Charlotte to B'ham. Its also a great conversation starter. The day I got it I had the entire office out in the parking lot arguing whether it was red, pink or orange.

Everyone is unique. Everyone has their own distinct tastes be it colors, cars or Scotch, but, unique none the less. If you like RL then get RL. IMHO I am an individual that doesn't want other folks making my decisions for me so I will always get what I like best and other people's opinions be damned.

Hell no. Had stop lurking just to come to the defense of The Lobster. Never seen pink in it, but definately orange which I think makes it a much more interesting shade of red. Get a lot of compliments with the black contrast.

A guy has a Rock Lobster 2dr across the street. It has a black hardtop and I like it. I brought my white JK out the other day from its cozy garage and passed by my neighbor while he was removing the top,we both were checking out each others jeep. I think it looks good with black accents

How do you keep that Jeep so clean? Here in Nebraska it's impossible to keep a vehicle clean with all the dirt in the air. Even with sunny days it looks like crap 2 days after I wash it.

RL is great

Had my RL JK since March; one of the best colors ever for a Wrangler, red-orange, not a shred of pink in it.

Using my first post to say Heck no! I don't regret my choice of Rock Lobster. I sought out my rl Rubicon Unlimited with body color top and fender flares after reading every last lobster bashing post I could dig up.

I originally intended to go with a "serious" color: black, white or deep cherry. But after seeing a rl out on the road (the only one other than mine I've seen in three states), I was smitten. It may not be a serious color, but to me, it's a seriously fun and happy color. Like so many others have said, the color changes constantly. Most often it looks orangey red. But sometimes it's pure red and sometimes a coral color that I think others are calling "pink." But I don't suffer from pink panic, so pink, red, orange, I love them all!

Learning that the color would be discontinued was just icing on the cake! Here's a shot from the day I picked him up.
