Does anyone have pics of a JK with Flares Removed....
My Aftermarket Flares and AEV Heat Reduction Hood are at the paint shop, and next week I am scheduled for installation.

In looking at the stock flares today on the 2012, it looks like they are attached to the splash shields front and back, (not the top piece on the front flares that's kind of corrugated,) I am talking about the smooth pieces towards the back of all the flares.

Does someone have detailed pics of flare removal, and what parts stay on or off the JK?

Thanks,
Jacob

This is a vid for ACE fenders I saw earlier today. Might show you what you're after.

when you remove the stock flares, the inner wheel well protection (the piece your talking about) comes of as well. in order to fit these back in without looking like shit, you have to modify them by cutting them small on the outside edges or they will stick out. I did this to mine and bolted them back in AFTER installing my new fender flares. they cover up all the shocks, engine, etc and make the jeep look a lot better imo.

Thanks guys!!! This is helpful info.

In regards to putting the inner liner's back on does it matter what type of Flares you use, or can you put them back in regardless of whether it's a tube fender, or a Pocket fender etc....?

Thanks again,
Jacob

I'm pretty sure if your using any fender flares you can use the stock inner liners...I'm a noob at this stuff, but it makes sense to me. wouldn't see why not.
