Does anyone have this antenna?

Hey there folks! I'm looking for a high gloss, black antenna that is shorter than the stock antenna.

Currently this is my top choice, and I was wondering if anyone actually has it and can show a photo?

If you have a glossy black antenna, and it isn't this one, can you show a pic anyway!

I bought this one from 4wp for like $18 with the right screw adaptor. Reception seems fine and it holds up in the car wash.

Nope, but I have this antenna on both my car and Jeep, it does good - just don't whack it with a tree or something. I went with a 12" I think.

It did prevent the dreaded mirror dimple though.

I got a short antenna, not that exact one, but it reduced the ability to pick up some radio stations. Just an FYI.

I've got that same one on mine, reception seems to be OK. It does lose signal faster than the stock antenna did, but i rarely listen to the radio anyway. It does look way better than that long factory antenna did.

Got it on mine. No problem but it would all depend on where you live. Read online when I got mine from Amazon where some people broke the plasic as they were tightening it down. Read there also to screw the adapter on the car first then screw the antenna on the adapter. That's what I did with out any problems

In the next couple of weeks we will be adding our version of this antenna to our line up in 6", 9", 12", 15" 21" in Black or Polished. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up.

Just got mine in the mail, but was a bit upset that it didn't come with the correct adapter. There are 9 adapters that they create, but they only give you 4 of them. Now I'll have to wait 3-5 weeks to get a little tiny screw mailed to me. lame. I would not mind paying an extra $4-$5 just so they would put in those extra few adapters.

Tho it's 13" instead of the 6" one you linked, I swapped my stock antenna out with this one about 3 weeks ago and haven't experienced any appreciable decrease in reception:

I tried the 6 inch antenna but out in the sticks I lost all reception, I needed a shorter antenna because of the tree branches whipping the stock antenna back into to my windshield. My buddy told me to try his for a week. After a week I also bought a 13 inch from Amazon it's short and stiff enough to do the job and the reception is good. I have sirus radio but that rarely works in the woods in heavy tree cover so I need my radio.

I will say this, the adaptor for the JK is cruddy on that antenna. I had to resort to putting a small piece of tin foil in mine to tighten it up good. Even that wasn't enough, so I added a tiny it of blue locktite to the last thread before it would be tight. That did it, but now it'll be a pita to remove if I was to change it out.

If you make an antenna with a good fitting adaptor I may change it out.

I have the AMI one the OP asked about. I think I got the 9". Got mine from Quadratec and it came with the right adapter in a separate bag. The small piece of rubber house it comes with is to put over and grab with pliers to tighten. Mine looks and works great!..I always use Sat radio though.

We will be using the same adapter we have now for the JK which we now have been using over 10 years now, even before the JK
