knock it off.. you two dont get your mods approved by the forum. If you dont have an answer for the OP, lay off. I thought we were trying to bring new jeepers into the forum. So far, I see a lot of animosity towards the JK crowd.

If it's from me or most of the other members its purely tongue and cheek so dont read much into it.

I don't have any problem w/ the JK's, in fact, I might get one for my next DD, he asked about the wheels, and so I gave my opinion, last time I checked, we are still allowed to do that!?

I don't care for the two toned colors either. If they were all silver I'd have to take a look at them on another Jeep but they still would be better than the duo-toned.

As for the off topic convo....this forum is by far the easiest to get along with than anywhere else on the net. JK, Tj Xj, LJ or LL cool J jeeps...all the same technique to get where we are going.

I don't know if these are the same but they're very close.

http://www.tirepackage.com/partLists...29&ptID=100455

http://www.tirepackage.com/partLists...80&ptID=100141

http://www.tirepackage.com/partLists...52&ptID=100141

Hope that helps.

And for everyone else in this thread that felt the need to voice their opinion about his taste in wheels - STFU. He didn't ask what we thought, he asked if we knew who made them. If you don't like JK's then stay the hell out of "JK Chat".

My best guess would be KMC Wheels or Moto Metal.

I haven't seen that design before but the center caps on them look like they where made by Helo.

Easy there, big fella, don't get your panties in a bunch, just because people commented on the wheel, they were automatically degrading the JK's, hell, in the picture you can't even tell what they are on!

Has there been a new rule passed here that I'm not aware of that doesn't allow for the free expression of opinions? I'm getting a little tired of mods on here preaching what people are allowed to think! If a post is inappropriate in a certain thread, then remove it and PM the user that posted it, but it is also inappropriate to tell someone what they are allowed to think or what attitudes they are allowed to display!

If you can’t tell what a JK looks like then I can’t help you with that one. There are several pictures of the Jeep if you’ll just click the link he posted. Wheels or JK’s I don’t care. I don’t see any need for anyone to tell someone else it looks “ricer” or “gay”.

As far as posting your opinion; have at it. Just be prepared for someone else to post their opinion too. No new “rules”, no “preaching”, just me expressing my opinion. Mod or not.

I posted what I said in the open forum for everyone to read so that no one else who degrade the original posters choice of wheels. I’m not going to send everyone a PM telling them to knock it off when I can kill two birds with one stone by posting in the thread.

If you don’t have anything to add to his thread then simply don’t participate. If you can answer their question then answer it. They don’t need to know what your or do they care opinion is. Especially since you added nothing of value to the thread.

First of all, it's a picture of a WHEEL, not a JK. As for the opinions expressed, well, whether you see a need for it or not, it's an opinion. If you have an issue with the comment itself being inappropriate, again, that is a different issue and should be addressed as such.

The difference is that your opinions here are being expressed on the opinions of others, not on the original post. Here we go again with the "if your attitude is wrong, you shouldn't participate in this thread" theme again. If someone has an issue with someones opinion, they aren't required to read it, but last time I checked, people are still allowed to make comments, worthwhile or not, in whatever forum they choose. Is there a requirement that all posts to a given thread must be of a certain value? If so, who determines that value, and if the post qualifies? Just so you know, this whole issue had already been addressed privately regarding the original post prior to the soap box being pulled out, but I guess no need to let the facts get in the way of a good ideological rant, huh?

As long as we are on the subject, how does your rant contribute to this thread?

What is up with this today? Huh?

He asked where to find them, not if anyone liked them. That said, yes, offer your opinions BUT, there is a right way and a wrong way to offer said opinions in a manner that doesn't leave the OP feeling like he just got the rubber glove treatment from the other members here.

If you don't like them... cool. The rims aren't something that I would put on my jeep, kinda like that chrome grill I see on a lot of jeeps. But do I just announce it's "gay" or "lame"?? No, it just isn't my speed. I don't like it so I won't be purchasing it, however if someone asks me where to find it and I know, I will point them in the right direction.

Opinions, even negative ones, can be offered in a civil way without setting out to take a jab at someone, especially a new member here. We all take shots at each other, but that's when we know each other and we know that the target will take it in stride. No need to light up a brand new member.
