My freedom panels leak too same place. Picked it up today after they supposedly fixed the leaks. And what do you know water in my driver side slush mat again. Showed the guy today before i drove off. Apologized and told me to bring it back next Tuesday. I got a 2012 4 door Sahara only 2200 miles on it. It's going back next Tuesday for the 3rd time. Unacceptable.

About to make trip number five to the dealership. I have a pool behind the driver seat and passenger seat.

Adding my name to the "me too" on the front floor board leaks. It is 100% poor design on the weather stripping. Puddles with every storm. Hoping it turns from a TSB into a formal recall for our 2012.

Never gonna happen with a recall and it's hard enough for getting one, even when lives are at stake and have already been lost.
Leaks are kinda accepted with wranglers and the like, but do understand the frustration with a new one that many have spent their life savings on.
So far, so good, with our 2010 and will most likely hold on to it, until we longer want a wrangler, any longer.

While I agree, I believe it is a bit ridiculous that a weather stripping leak is "acceptable", yet if it were any other vehicle this would be fixed without hesitation. The leak has nothing to do with the removable top in almost every case where the water intrudes the cabin on the front door seals. The water follows the weather stripping down to the bottom where the bad design begins to shine.

I met another Jeeper yesterday who owns a 2012 with no mods, never takes the top down, same issue. She was taking it in for an OOW diagnostic. I gave her fair warning on the anticipated repeat visits for holes being drilled into the rubber gaskets in different locations. She was ecstatic.

Well, I had no leaks for the first 3 years. Then last year 2 months before the warranty was up it started leaking at the B pillar at the back edge of the front passenger door. Basically right down the painted section between the window and the B pillar. It would ONLY leak after extended rain though. They could never replicate it with the hose/car wash/whatever they use at the dealer to check. They tried replacing the main door seal, didn't help. Then California ran out of rain.

True to their word I brought it back a few weeks ago when we started getting hit with some solid extended rain (although this year the leak didn't need just rain to show up) and they worked on it under the original repair order that was covered by the warranty so I still didn't have to pay anything.

This time, hopefully (I'll know for sure when I leave work in a bit) they've got it fixed. Hard top seal where the back of the freedom panels sit, B pillar mucket, another door seal, and finally remove & replace some of the butyl/foam tape all in that order. They were also able to test and get it to leak and each thing they replaced it leaked a little less until the tape finally finished it off.

When the leak started it would only leak after extended rains and then only when I was driving which kind of makes sense if the hard top seal at the front of the rear section was going, maybe it couldn't handle the rush of water. By the time this year came around, it would leak just sitting in the parking lot. I'd have wet carpet just forward of the B pillar between the floorboard trim and the side of the seat.

Hi

my 2014/15 JKU is in at the moment for the third or fourth time since i bought it new.

The first thing the dealer did was replaced a rear wing which they say is known to cause leaks in the Rear & Front footwells on the left hand side (Drivers side in US, Passenger side here in the UK).

This cured the rear footwell problem 100%

Currently having the front left door seal replaced as there's leaking down the front of the door where it joins with the A pillar, which we found after leaving the ca stood fr two weeks while we where on vacation in Florida this Xmas/New Year.

The car was full of mould when we returned and the front footwell was literally an inch deep in water.

Water tests don't replicate the storms / wind we have here so I've left the Jeep at the shop all week so they can see the problem.

Hopefully i'll get this sorted this week, if not i'll be taking advice from my Lawyer

Holes did you say and is that why, ours doesn't leak?
Yeah, ridiculous is a good word I guess and must agree. The vehicle's design itself, which we all love, lends itself to many problems, like water pouring down from the roof, in a rain storm, when you're trying to get inside in a hurry. Doors not staying open for ya, while you're trying to get in and out and maybe with your hands full. Let's face it, it's a Jeep thing, like they say.
As for the Dealership, the service Dept. made me mad, long ago and all the warranty has surely expired by now, so doubtful that they will get it back for anything. However, if need be, there's another Dealer at about the same distance in the opposite direction, with a decent reputation, so....

Just posting to confirm that yes indeed my water leak is finally fixed. No issues after work yesterday or this morning after more rain last night.

Leaks in my 2012. Replaced b pillar seals. Replaced front corner of hard top seals. Right rear fixed. Drivers front not. Back to dealer on Monday. I've noticed more of a margin space around the drivers door than on passenger side. Other labels on drivers side have more margins. I wonder if that person assembling drivers side had some bad days?

My 2013 is leaking on the drivers side floor, 2 door model. The rubber seals on the roof appear to be in great shape as do the door seals. Any advice guys? theres no warranty left, so hoping to fix myself, it rains a lot here in the pacific northwest.
