You need to fold the fabric back like a W underneath the front bar. That will open it up more and it won't flap around and hit you in the head.

^ yep

I saw a guy riding down the road yesterday in Sunrider mode and his top was also folded back improperly. It was ballooning up from the wind catching.

The owners manual and the little card that came attached to the passenger side sun visor, AND the owners DVD. I swear, nobody reads these days... You'd be surprised what you can learn by briefly flipping through the manual or DVD.

There was once a good quote from a C&D or other review mag about the BMW idrive system that essentially said, "It's quintessentially German; Americans will hate it and Germans that RTFM will praise it."

Americans simply don't RTFM and then either a) adjust their expectations accordingly or b) bitch. However, our military is shiny so we're a nation of winners. 'Murica.

I had to watch the DVD in slo-mo to see how and where he was grabbing it to get the double-fold in there.

I pulled up to a guy in Walmart parking lot and showed him how to do it properly. My advice for doing it solo is to fold it back quick and then stand in the back seat to adjust it, saves walking around the jeep 3 times to get it right.
