So somehow one of the doors on my brand new 2014 JKU Flame Red has a small ding on it. Not sure how it got there but it's there. It's #%^*^>^£ there !!!!

Any expert advise on how to best fix it? I will post a picture later when there is daylight, if that would help.

I tried to push out some very small dents from the inside of a rear door, Jeepy was near new just like yours. It's another story how to remove the inside panel that holds the auto window parts, there is a tab you will need to cut out permanently. So, what I discovered was the outer panel must be some double layer laminated whoknowswhat, I just simply could not 'feel' the spot on the outside where I applied the pressure inside using a screw driver handle. Perhaps a pro dent repair shop could fix it, I rather learned to live with it.

I noticed the dents shortly after a service visit (alternator change in a new Jeep)...
Read the manual, the doors are only for protection from the elements:)

I am gonna guess that you don't have any tubular steps or sliders on your Jeep. The only reason I still have the factory tubular steps on mine is to protect it from door dings. My steps have several marks on them from other vehicles but my doors are still nice. It would take a pretty tall truck to open its doors and be above the height of those steps. Get some steel sliders and instead of dinging your door the other person will end up denting theirs.

Ask at your local dealership who they have that does minor dent repair for their lot. I went to my dealer after I dimpled the hood misplacing the hood support the first week I owned my Jeep! They directed me to a "dent guy" who has been in the business for 19 years, and operates out of his truck. Within 15 minutes, he took out the dimple and charged me 20 bucks. If the dealership doesn't use one, ask around some of the other used car places like Carmax, etc. As for the color transfer, a clay bar works wonders for any paint blemish. You can buy the kit at any auto parts store. Clay bar the discoloration off, then apply a coat of wax and you're back to new.

If that is more of a scratch than a dent, I would recommend the scratch repair kit from Turtle Wax.

Amazon.com: Turtle Wax T-234KT Premium Grade Scratch Repair Kit: Automotive

I had a key mark on my last trade in that I was able to restore by myself after never dealing with paint work before using that $15.00 kit.

I was quoted $700 by a local paint shop to fix that scratch, so I decided to learn a new skill. :)
