Door Lube

Quick question, and I know the answer, but my rear side door hinges (JKU 4 door) seems to be a little "dry" when I open. I know LITIUM grease is the proper lube, but I have a can of Finish Line Dry Teflon Bike Chain Lube in my shed...Would this be OK to give a spray of the Teflon on my hinges before I pick up some lithium spray/grease... I don't wont to put anything on the hinges that will mess up the paint, to me the Teflon should be OK and better than WD-40 to try...Thoughts??

WD-40 isn't a lubricant. It removes water, but gives no lubrication.

Bike chain lube should be okay, but won't last as long as lithium grease and will run in the heat and when your Jeep gets washed.

2five, I know, 40 is a penetrating oil,,,,, So, I could give a shot just to try the Teflon out for now? Bought my JKU 2012 new, and this door seems "stiff" Teflon good to at least try?

You're not going to hurt anything, just may not be as durable as lithium grease. I use a Honda lubricant because its in the garage and I have a lifetime supply from my Miata maintenance hobby.
