Door removal

Silly me. I assumed the torx bit for door removal would be the same as the one for top removal.

So what is the size of the one for door removal? My handy owner's manual is currently sitting on my desk at home. :banghead:

it's quite the "WTF" moment when you get everything disconnected. clear a spot to put them once off, and then...nothing. put it all back together. Then spending 30 minutes searching every toolbox looking for torx bits. Then realizing the largest one you have is the one for the hard top bolts.

Then go fight the mess to get to home depot. Reach for the manual to look up the proper size, and find....nothing again because the manual is back at home. Right where I left it.

Thankfully, the great users here helped me out and I now have the right torx bit . Now I don't have anywhere to go the rest of the weekend so there is no point taking the doors off now. Putting the top back on. :surrender:

T-50

Funny - with the user manual now on DVD, there's no mention of the door removal process in the 2011's thin 'user guide' - the thing most likely to actually be in our new JK.

Also funny - my local Home Despot only had a set of driver bits - running up through T-40 (which I had purchased for removing the hard top). No T-50 to be found. Guess it's time to try Lowe's.

I picked up the T-50 torx at checker auto parts. If you have one of those, or an autozone, you can pick it up there
