Door Tool

I found a tool that fits up against the my JK and allows you to take off the screws to the doors. I took some Moleskin and adheared it to the top of the rechargeable screwdriver so it dose not scratch the paint. Worked out great cut down the time it took to take off the doors. Just wanted to let you guys know.

I don't even know where mine are at, or even remember what they look like.

Do you think that if they were after them the little bolts would stop them?

No but 8 bolts will slow you down... I use my door locks on my house knowing someone can still break in.

I admit I haven't had my JK for long, but I'm not new to Jeeps at all, and I've NEVER heard of anyone having their doors stolen.

We must live in two totally different kinds of areas. Not once have I ever been worried about someone stealing my doors. If you are that worried about it you might want to look into the locking nuts for the doors.

No I just see a lot of people get their things taken and get taken advantage of on a daily basis.

this is just me but if I keep the doors locked how are they going to take them off and steal them without the alarm going off, and someone noticing them? good idea, but I leave mine off, If you are very careful with a ratchet it won't scratch either.

This was just an idea for everyone. Ratchet works perfect I put a small towel behind it when I used it, just in case.

I'd steal some half doors in black if I could find them.

Just kidding! No door nuts on mine either.

Those cap nuts are there to help ever so slightly in side impact protection.

I use cordless impact on mine and its a lot faster. Also my jk is black so I didn't want to scratch it also. I used a nice sized refrigerator magnet (flat) and just moved it to each bolt works great.

I use a screwdriver with a flexible shaft. I keep the driver and the torx sockets for the doors and the soft top in the cubby.

Previous dumb ass owner tried to take the doors off but couldn't figure it out, how do i know? He left a big quarter sized half inch inward ding behind the nut, only barely noticeable from afar with the nut off (thank god)
