Door warning

One of my half doors had a problem...the inside handle slipped off the actuator rod. Dlr said it happens fairly often from slamming the door. Also happens on full doors. My suspicion is that because our full doors with window up seal so well that they are hard to close against the air compression so we get used to that. Also half doors are much lighter weight. Cost me $120 at the dlr cuz I didn't wanna F with it. Just be careful

i dont mind the slamming. now i just crack my window open for a second and close it again everytime someone wants to get in the car. what i do mind is when someone thinks the windows are close and they smash the door so hard it hurts my sack

You talking the factory half doors? My '07 seems to be holding up fine. All know the doors are light though, so no slamming.

Yes, mine are Mopar factory doors. Not just jeeps either...happens in lotta different cars and trucks. My wife was too used to having to close the door against air pressure and the force it takes. I/we eventually learned to crack a window a bit but a full door still takes more to close it securely. It really takes very little to shut a half door.
