Door wiring Harness Removal

Trying to get rid of the doors for summer...can easily get the rear wiring harnesses disconnected, but the fronts are a major bitch. I've pushed the red tab up, but cannot get them to disconnect...anyone have any tips? I've tried pulling, pinching, and squeezing the friggin' thing at various places until my thumbs are numb.

Help would be greatly appreciated before I simply take a wire cutter to them!

To release the lock, you need to pull the red tab down.

Whatever you do, DON'T TOUCH THE RED TAB!

Too late? Crap...okay, just don't fondle it.

My jeep likes it when I fondle the red tab.
