Question Doors / Electrical connection

Hello all,

Well here it go's my first official question on the forum. I'm a first time jeep owner and have no knowledge of anything yet, be kind and don't laugh to loud at me. I have a 08 wrangler Sahara 4door and would like to take the doors off for the first time. I have one concern though...the electrical connection ! I have been warned that if the connection is not taken out properly you risk damaging the the inlet as well as the outlet. Also possible damage to the entire electrical system. Is there a special way to disconnect the electrical for the door ? The manual simply says disconnect not sure if it's a good idea for me to start tugging and yanking on the connection.

Thanks in advance for any instruction / help offered

you'll see a red tab on the connector, push it so it clicks "out" than Just make sure to depress the tab on the connectors while pulling them apart carefully. Just don't try to force it.

I'm pretty sure JimBox has a picture of exactly what you should press. There is a little panel that you need to remove to gain access for the 2 back doors.
