Dozer Vs. Crush

I have already ordered a '13 Dozer but am having second thoughts on getting a '13 Crush instead. I know it is all personal preference but this is tough. I keep going from one to the other and like them both equally. I feel like I could simply flip a coin and go with either one. Anyone else have this much trouble on color choice? Also, any thoughts on these two colors? I'm guessing that Dozer is the more unusual and uncommon of the two. Say I do switch my order. Any ideas on how long that would delay production on my newly ordered '13?

Tough call. My preference is Crush. Seemed like Dozer was a bit faded. Naturally, I went with Gecko green when I ordered my 2013 JKU Sahara. In Illinois, most seem to be black. I wanted something to stand out. Unfortunately my wife didn't like Crush.

I mean, better hurry and make a decision before Crush13JK is taken. Otherwise it would just be awkward.

Think you nailed it on the personal preference notion. When I went to the dealership I had ruled out white and was planning on a different color. That was until I saw one and took a ride in it.

It's all personal preference. I like the crush but it's a color I think I'd get tired of over time. I did look at them heavily though, just ended up deciding it wasn't me.

When I bought my gecko it was between it and a lifted dozer right next to it. The crush didn't have a chance with me next to those two. Hubby wanted the dozer. But we were doing the shopping with him on Skype through my iPhone as he was deployed. He told me to just get the green one bc I kept walking back over to it. He was right. I love my gecko. I do like the dozer and crush, gecko was just so unique I had to have it. Don't regret my decision at all.

I appreciate all colors of jeeps, but prefer what I own. This time around is Mango Tango, Next one, who knows.

With that being said, you would think he preferred the "DOZER" wouldn't you?

I like them both, but the paint quality on my Dozer is just great. If I was buying one this year, it would be a tough choice. Take a close look at them both to make sure you're happy with the quality of the finish.

my decision of crush was a very easy one to make. The dealer I got mine from had the exact same Jeeps model and feature wise sitting next to each other, one was crush and one was dozer. Seeing how orange has always been my favorite color plus seeing them side by side, I jumped all over the crush.

I like them both, but would choose crush infinitely over dozer, Just my opinion. You can't go wrong with either. Maybe these will help you

I was crush all the way, from the moment i seen that color, i had to have it. Gecko was my second choice, that is a great color as well.

I love my Dozer. I looked at the Crush, but after seeing it in person, it was too much....too deep an orange for me. And Dozer seems harder to come by around here, I have yet to see another one in the 10 days I have owned mine.

I would say go to a lot, and look at them next too each other and see what you think. And if that doesn't work, flip the coin and go with that decision. best of luck!

I love my Dozer, I don't think you're going to regret either color. Bold colors rule!

Crush is good.
Dozer is good.
Crush or dozer, they're both favorites.
Crush is super sexy with black accessories and also hot in a Sahara version (painted flares). Dozer sometimes, just sometimes looks school bus'ish. That's my 2˘. Wait to have a dream about it when you sleep and let your subconscience decide. . . . .Sounds corny and stupid, but I think works. Either way you will be more awesome than someone in a plain black TJ (me ) Good luck!

Dealer had a dozer and a crush. When looking at them the crush won over.

Those are the two best colors of a rather poor set of Jeep colors to currently choose from. I don't think you can go wrong either way with those two.

Biased Dozer owner here. I too was hung up on the same 2 colors. Yes Dozer does come very close to school bus yellow. That is one reason I love it!

Not sure if Crush does the same thing, but when I wash mine, the color almost seems to change when it is clean. Almost a touch lighter color than when it is dirty. I like that. Either one is awesome.

Around me I have yet to see another JK Sahara in Dozer. Seen a couple Sports and 1 JKU but not one JK Sahara. Love that mine is so far the ONLY one I have seen near me.

Every time I see a Crush I wish I was 20 years younger and I would get one.

But then every time I see anything I wish I was 20 years younger.

I like the Crush & the Dozer especially with matching top and fenders but lean toward the Crush.

Can't get too much of a good thing.

Came VERY close to ordering a Dozer, but then decided it was just too much of a good thing. When my wife and I saw a Crush, I liked it, but again, it was just too much of a good thing...and then my wife commented, "You can take me to the ball but just have me home by midnight, heels aren't easy to walk in."

So, my final choices came down to Bright Silver Metallic and Dozer. I went with the Bright Silver Metallic because it does a good job of hiding flaws and dirt. While Bright Metallic Silver wasn't originally a color I was interested in, the salesman suggested it because of how easy of a color silver was to maintain. I thought about it for a while and decided to go with it. I'm glad I did, because I really like it.

FWIW, yes, I see A LOT, and I mean, A LOT of Bright Silver Metallic JKs and JKUs running around, but I've NEVER seen another Bright Silver Metallic RUBICON since I've owned it. In fact, mine was the first one my dealer had gotten within the past two years and it was my order.

Anyway, between Dozer and Crush, I think I'd have to see them next to each other at the same time in order to make a decision.

I love the Crush until I went to see a Rubicon at my new Dealer. It was ALL Crush. Top and fenders. For me it was just too much and in your face.

Went in the showroom to look for other colors and they had exactly what I was looking for, Mechanically, on the floor. Only diff was it was the Dark Cherry Mettalic. The color grew on me and it now sits in the garage.

We didn't like the school bus look of dozer, but we loved crush. Orange is like yellow and green when it comes to car colors - the color has to be just right for the vehicle or it will look odd.

With that said, if you prefer dozer, go with it. No one on here is paying for it but you!
