Driver side upper bar creaks/vibration

I've searched a good bit on this one but can't find the exact issue I'm having.

I have a 2016 JKU with about 25k. A few weeks ago it starting having a very annoying um.......I'm not sure what to call it. It is kind of a knocking/creaking sound like someone is gently tapping the freedom top along the upper left of the top. I tried pushing up on the panel to see if it would go away but it didn't really do much. I took the top off and the noise went away for the most part, but if I grab the upper (round) frame member where the roof panel pin fits in, I can feel the member knock for lack of a better term. Flexing?

So I'm thinking whatever flexing/knocking is going on with the member is transmitted to the roof panel pin, causing it to make the knocking/creaking noise. I've put electrical tape on the pin but that didn't do much.

Anyone had this issue? I'm going to look this weekend to see if any frame bolts are loose at the A-pillar but will take any other suggestions.

Thanks.

Try checking the bolts that hold down the front of your hard-top (directly under the freedom panel. Mine got this annoying tapping/clicking noise and I discovered the bolt on the drivers side was loose. I had to add Teflon tape to the thread to keep it from backing out and knocking around. Hope this helps.

initially i thought i have a weird knocking / bumping / creaking noise coming from that area too. low and behold, it actually was the vertical seal belt adjuster (the thing that slides up and down). any little bump in the road makes a knock noise as the adjuster moves in the track (but still in the same slot).

it's actually something that i will be bringing up with the dealership next time i am there b/c the passenger side doesn't do it (i tried to ride as a passenger one time and it doesn't knock around)
