Driving Light Wiring

13 JKUR 10a.

So I bought a set of Rigid Industires D2 driving lights. Got everything lined out but the switch.

How is everyone getting the wiring through the firewall?

I am sure I could find a way if I just started pulling stuff off. But it would be great if I could just get some advice on the easiest way to get through the firewall and how to get there.

Thanks.

Talking wiring

Hi, If you open the hood and look on the drivers side firewall you will see a round hole with a black foam type cover with an x cut in it. You can access the interior through this hole.

Saw that. But I could not see it from the inside. Do I need to remove some panel or something to get at it from the inside?

Thanks.

I went with a remote switch so I didn't have to go through the firewall. Bought one off Ebay out of Cali', decent quality and it has 2 channels. I'm using 1 for my lights and the other is unused at the moment.

The video in the ad had no influence on my purchase

It's hard to see unless you're a contortionist. Just use something to poke the wires through and reach up and grab it from the inside.

as long as you have an automatic, that hole works.
Just push the wire(s) a couple of inches through the seal from the engine compartment.
If you shine a flashlight from the engine bay at the hole after pushing the wire(s) through, you can see the location from under the dash.
I have 3 wires going through that place no problem.

Nice, I was looking for this as well today.
What is the most cost effective and easiest switch in everyone's opinion?
I was considering the pillar switches.
I need 2 different switches for spots and floods. CREE...

What about relays?
