Neither one of the examples you stated are motorvehicle laws! Vehicles are registered state-wide so laws regarding your actual vehicle are statewide not county wide... Anyone can be told to put the cell phone down and that does not alter your vehicle and of course hand gun laws vary state to state and you have to obey local laws... Some states also do not allow radar detectors... You have to remove it from your dash while driving in that state

That's not the same thing. A cell phone violation isn't a vehicle equipment code. Gun laws are not the same as vehicle equipment laws.
Please, call your state police. Ask them about the state vehicle equipment codes in regards to Wrangler doors and if a county can override them, don't take my word for it. Let me know what they tell you.

You will not just get pulled over for talking on your cell phone in MD either. IF you get pulled over for speeding and you were on your cell phone then they will give you a ticket for it. If your in DC then it is a different story.

Ride doorless. Follow your mirror laws. Be Happy.. If you are harrassed by a Doosh bag errrr I mean cop.. Take it to court, you will win.. The doors on a Jeep wrangler are not part of the integrity of the vehlicle. they are there to protect you from the elements outside the of the jeep. They are not a safety feature. Same goes for your top.. Topless, Doorless, Or Naked.. Enjoy and have fun out there

C'om on man, not all cops are douche bags! We don't have that problem here in Houston.

Nope not all of them. My favorite teacher in H.S is a cop.. But from my experience and listening to other people the majority of them are.. I've had mostly bad experiences with them both directly and inderectly over the years. It is unfortuanate that most of them are the way they are.. It truly does give the good guys out there who happen to also be LEO's a bad name..

Funny (local) vehicle laws

Wouldn't put the window down on newer ones - that curved windshield looks plain stupid down. But my ol' CJ was EASY to drop the windshield, except in New Hope, PA. I was told there you'd be ticketed without a helmet if it were down. Which would have actully looked stupider!

Wait, so you have been pulled over for having the doors off? You may want to stay away from double negatives.

"From other people" People don't go around talking about good cop experiences nearly as much as they are likely to rant about one. Its just like you'll find a hell of a lot more bad product reviews on the internet than good ones because people are more likely to feel the need to comment about a bad experience. Human nature, I take what people say about cops with a grain of salt. Plus you have to realize that most people think the cop is out to get them and have a bad view before the situation even really begins. I have had good an bad experiences, more good than bad really and I also have a few good friends and relatives that work in law enforcement.
