Dual top group

My question regards ordering a dual top on a JK.

I am wondering how the soft top is packaged from the factory.

-is the frame already installed?
-is it expected that the buyer install the top?
-is it just in a box in the cargo area?

The soft top is mounted to the vehicle in the down position under the hard top. The windows and hardware are in boxes in the rear of the jeep. When you get home you should remove the soft top for storage, assuming it's cold where you are. Yes you need to remove the hard top first. Pay attention to the instructions, if your soft top is spring loaded you'll want to make sure you lock those springs before removal.

Thank you for the reply

So nothing is actually preinstalled at the time of delivery? It is all in boxes?

Thank you

The hardware and windows come in 2 separate boxes and are usually in the back seat of the Jeep. However, the top is pre-installed in the rear of the Jeep in a protective vinyl cover.

Army Vet gave you the facts. I wish I would have got the dual top group when I got my HT. A bit more cash up front but worth it in the end because you have both tops vs trying to figure out where to come up with the cash for the second top now. Ask me how I know.
